Short summary

Henry is a writer possessed with writers block. The only thing that he can write about is other author's work. It just so happens to be that the other authors he is stealing from, have all in some way killed themselves. While writing, Henry goes through many mental breakdowns all dealing with his ex wife, mother, sister, and the subject of suicide. HE believes he needs to follow the path of his 'Idols'. Henry knows in his head that suicide is the way he will be known. Nothing is going right for Henry, so he does what he thinks must Be done with nobody to help him.

Actor Cameron Bigelow really did urinate in the Mason Jars. The Jars were not touched until after production wrapped. It helped bring more to the atmosphere of the room.

Hunter S. Thompson's Suicide Note is written in large letters across Henry's Wall.

Andy Petersen's all time favorite writers are Hunter S. Thompson and Cormac McCarthy. True Plagiarist was dedicated to Hunter S. Thompson and his work.

The Moth in the beginning of the film was by chance. The original script read "A cat that tries to escape Henry's Smokey room". When The Director and Star, Cameron Bigelow noticed a moth trapped in a Mason Jar, they changed the opening of the film on spot. It was pure luck to show an animal trapped such as the moth. This symbolizes Henry and how he is trapped in a room.

The Number 1223 is shown through out the entire film. This Number represents multiple things. One being Hunter S. Thompson's Death Date, December 23rd. The other being the time Henry Commits Suicide.
