Katherine Heigl? Ummmm, no!! I was hoping this was a one and done appearance, but no, not after revealing at the end she wants named partner status by the end of the year.

Overall? Weak. A few bright moments, but mostly weak. Even when Mike was in prison, there was enough from the character to keep the show interesting.

The writing that kicks off the 8th season was very weak. And Katherine Heigl? Hmmm. No.

Suits will never be the dame without Patrick and Magane. Gabriel and Patrick story and relation is what keep this show so popular. I guess this and maybe one more season then it will be canceled.

I have loved this show from the start, and was looking forward to this new season. I was greatly disappointed. First, Katherine Heigl. Really?!? She is such a bad fit. She's trying hard to fit in, but failing badly. Don't understand what the producers were thinking, hiring her. The writing is the worst it's ever been. Are the writers new too? Macht & Rafferty seem to be having a hard time with the poor lines they are given. Leaving Donna to just being the "Wise woman" has made this character less believable. And where was the humor? Louise Litt was the only character who returned this season, same as he left last season. Please, please, please hire back the writers from seasons past. This crew will cause the show to be canceled.

Maybe it's the writers or maybe it's Katherine Heigl, who can't fill either of Gina Torres's heels, but the new season's first episode lacked the polish and pace of earlier episodes. Let's hope the writers figure out a way to keep the show interesting without relying on any more middle finger 'showdowns' between Macht and Heigl.

I loved the pilot of this show and really enjoy the first few seasons, but it really has just been getting progressively worse. There's so much cheesy drama and predictable conversations in this episode. The show has definitely lost it's charm. I've watched every episode up until now, but I think I'll give it one more episode and, if nothing improves drastically, I'm done.

This show built on Mike and Harvey's relationship. Without Mike I don't care Harvey. It's like Dallas without Jr. Billions without Paul Giamatti. Absolutly trash, a peace of garbage.

Everybody's saying you killed the cast you killed the series, but I have to believe on this show that has delivered for consecutive seasons. It will be a struggle without 2 main characters, yes, I agree, but let's give the writers and the director a chance to work things out. I won't judge after the first episode, let's see where this goes. And I have faith!

It is good to see things move ahead without the love birds.

    Suits

Suits; created by Aaron Korsh, is a series that has its selective audience for its eerie dramatic conflicts and a keen insight on the law firm as it goes from up and down. Infamous for its witty lines, complex writing and depicting the brutal ongoing drama behind law and order, it found its way walking on a tight rope from the first frame on nothing but sheer brilliant writing skills that defines and justifies its fame.

But unfortunately as series started aging on screen the drama and emotions grew more shallow and textbook along with the relationship melodrama that usually feeds itself on petty and cheesy writing. The complexity between Rick Hoffman and Gabriel Macht has been a game changer and a trump card off the series that works every time as a savior. Patrick's character fades off into its dull love track far before it even finds itself resulting it into the weakest link on it.

The humor that used to fit in smoothly and balance the tone, seems forcibly installed in its latter season that barely draws in a chuckle. It is rich on technical aspects like its stunning camera work with alluring visuals and up beating song which have always been a huge part of the series that makes it supremely watchable.

The performance has always been a flight risk since the only cast that comes off convincing in here is Macht and Hoffman whilst others struggles to deliver. Its beautiful cinematography, competitive arguments, slick court room drama and Macht at the heart of it, are the high points of the series.

    Season 08

Its eighth act is a bit of a stretch to attain a closure, which easily suggests its wafer thin concept, over-ridden emotions, under-cooked characters and cheesy and weak writing that not only fails to keep the audience tangled into it but rotten the earlier established base by the series.

    Right-Hand Man

The characters' perspective is given the least importance with an agenda similar to less-than-a-four-year-old-kid as it changes and not grows that creates an uneven state for the audience to sink in accordingly; off to a weak start.

Thought in season 7 that it can't get better..sure the chemistry between Harvey and Mike is great. But also screenplay and story, Now the start seems very hart to find a new beginning.,Heigl as Miss super tough?! Must be kidding me..can't take the role serious..she certainly is no Jessica..hope the writers have some good ideas to change what's happening.. She has not the charisma, when she was in the ring I was laughing my ass off..and where is the humor gone, the quotes between Mike and Jarveyare missing..the other actors are a great fit..but the role heigel plays..doesn't fit at all. I have seen all the episodes several times. But I guess, if that's the new path..that's my last season..and probably also the series last season..

I've been following the show over the years and across the seasons and as all the mayority of fans feels, the series should have end last season 7.

No sure why, but show runners decided it worth one more ride for the audience to keep up the story of "Pearson, Specter, Anybody" goin on and fabricate fights within, like the one goin on with the feauturing Katherine Heighl's character. That is ofcourse not messing with the actress wich i dearly admire and respect as well. But i sincearly think her role was not ment to be at all.

Katrina and Louis relationship as boss-employee never really got me intersted one bit.

Donna is like c'mon she is always one step ahead of all and she's not even a lawyer. Always the same!

Finally, Harvey lost a fight for the first time since... i not even remember. But it was sad how it went all off.

Please producers, just kill this show with dignity or let it die with the glory of better days it saw.

This WAS a top notch, entertaining, witty show but now with the addition of the lousy, forced acting of Katherine Heigl, I think I'm done. I was really looking forward to a new season without the Mike and Rachel story, finally. It was good but getting old. I was really disappointed with the first show of the season and Heigl's bad acting... She's just not believable in the part. Her last lawyer show flopped (bad acting). Also, stop making Dulé so crabby acting and looking so angry all the time. The rest of the cast is great Harvey, Louis are excellent. Was looking forward to Louis' rekindled relationship storyline, too.

Nicely done... I honestly didn't miss the two big stars that helped make this show interesting...Mike and Rachel. They wrote around them very well, and managed to put me on the hook for the season. Suits isn't for everyone, but the not overly complicated twists of S8 E1 play out smoothly enough from scene to scene to easily keep MY attention... I'd have liked a Jessica update...and the managing partner battle wasn't quite the fight it should have been (Harvey hasn't lost ((or conceded)) that quickly in any fight yet)...The season has opened on a great note.... Nicely done

Welp, the reality of life without Jessica, Mike, and Rachel is upon us. While it's true that the Series will never be the same without the narrative that this drama was built upon, I think it extremely unfair to bash the writing, acting, new storylines, and additional characters.

I worried that Suits would become unwatchable with the departure of key cast members and with the staleness that can accompany LONG running TV dramas, but I whole heartedly do NOT find that to be the case. Regardless of the loss of Jessica. Mike, and Rachel and everything they provided, Suits is STILL a top notch quality show, albeit not the out of the park home run it once was. I believe much of the criticism in the user reviews is due to the emotional attachment the previous Seasons evoked from its loyal audience.

If you notice, all those supposed critics continue to watch, because it IS still better than most of what's on television. I can't help but notice that the harsh reviews are mainly made up of the less intelligible, less mature, and the copy n paste variety. Some reach for the standard impressive review lingo, yet still leave me questioning if English is their first language.

In short, viewers are just jumping the gun as an emotional reaction to undesired change, having basically been spoiled by a one of kind plot line and script. Again they continue to watch and criticize because if it was REALLY crap they would watch something else. The truth is that not much else can challenge this production team and product, in spite of its drop off. This is the first new episode and I predict by mid-season that tunes will change.

I'll admit that there are marginally better choices for character replacement than Katherine Heigl, but to suggest she entirely lacks the acting chops to fit in with this ensemble, is absurd. She is more than able and qualified to develop an engaging, compelling, and dare I say, titillating character.

Call the premiere a "weak start" to the Season if you like, but I prefer to categorize it as a legitimately strong and powerful continuation, considering how long the show's been running and the absence of multiple CORE key players that the show was built on. Very few TV dramas could survive, much less thrive, after such a change. So criticize all you like if it makes you feel good, but you're obviously still watching for a reason. If it was THAT poor you wouldn't even be here to complain and belittle. There are literally HUNDREDS of other TV Series NOT worth your time to tune in to and rate 1 out of 10. As for me, I'd never waste HOURS of my time continually watching a show I deem less than 8/10 and "washed up". I know what's out there and it takes less than an episode to cast aside the 4/10's and move on.

The beauty of going 8 seasons far and still having killer lines is just undescribable. Since day one we had one-liners from Mike and Harvey that would leave our mouths open. Up until now, the thing that'll most likely keep you watching is the script and how Gabriel and Hoffman perform it. Yes, it has gotten dull and the storyline seems kind of boring, but you can't just leave these two men talking and not watch the show.
