Short summary

This expose of the U.S. parole system, as seen through the eyes of FBI Director J. Edgar Hoover, takes dead aim on lawyers who manipulate the justice system in order to get undeserving convicts parole from prisons. The point is made when FBI agents Scott Britton'William Henry (I)') and Ross Waring (Lyle Talbot) are assigned to track down "Big Boy" Bradmore (Anthony Quinn, who after getting an undeserved parole, via the efforts of a shyster lawyer, promptly murders an FBI agent.

One of over 700 Paramount productions, filmed between 1929 and 1949, which were sold to MCA/Universal in 1958 for television distribution, and have been owned and controlled by Universal ever since. Its first documented telecast took place in Omaha Friday 6 March 1959 on KETV (Channel 7); not exactly a frequent flyer, it was not taken off the shelf again until it aired in Minneapolis Saturday 14 November 1959 on WTCN (Channel 11), and then again in both Toledo and San Francisco 19 March 1960 on WTOL (Channel 11) and KPIX (Channel 5); in Lowell, Massachusetts, serving the Boston area, it was first telecast 19 June 1960 on WBZ (Channel 4).
