I must say it was a good try to improve the image of Pakistan. Tt was very clear that Robert Gallimore was trying to show a good picture of Pakistan. The video comprises of lots nice & slow music for this purpose, also tried to show nice sceneries of Pakistan. It was very evident that all the people who were talking with Robert have been chosen. The opinion of local residents are not covered. A church has been shown, were this priest says there are 500 people in the morning, why didn't show them.

I tried watching 2/3rds of the first hour of the documentary, and I had enough of Pakistani Army men telling how good things are and what all they have done and speak for the people of the region rather than have the locals really speak and give opinions.

To me it looked like bad journalism.

I would really have appreciated if the common people spoke when this is a Documentary about "A Journey Into the REAL Pakistan", Or may the the director thinks that the Army of Pakistan is the REAL Pakistan and the people of Pakistan aren't really real.

The documentary starts with very promising images of Indo-Pak partition. But within the first 20 minutes, one realises that the documentary appears more like a guided tour by the Pakistani army. The presence of men in fatigues is very evident throughout the documentary. The frequent praise of Pakistani army seems tutored. Little kids yelling "Long Live Pakistan" gives it all away.

Yes, the Pakistani army has suffered horrendously from the run-ins with the Taliban. But the most frequent message that stands out from this documentary is to that all is well in FATA district under the Pakistani Army.

The persecution of the FATA people and the general discontent among some of the people is not shown. Ordinary people on the streets never view their true opinion. Pakistan uses this medium to play the champion and the victim, yet again.

Saw the 2-part documentary on a streaming service. The entire documentary seemed forced and tries to romanticize Pakistan, even painting the military in a good light! However, there is no mention of the numerous Army coups or Osama being found in a garrison town. The documentary tries too hard to paint Pakistan in a good light without being objective. The artist commune was undoubtedly cool and the Army officer almost resignedly talking about his wife who died saving kids in a school terror attack was gut wrenching. The rest of the documentary is disjointed and yawn worthy. There is no mention of any of the minorities. The people interviewed seem to be the upper crust 1% of the population which lives in a bubble. Shame, because it had potential.

Must watch, this coming from an Indian and I see some keyboard warriors Commenting trash at the documentary for not conforming to their Ill informed views that they have about Pakistan, for whatever reasons. This is a good effort to show what Pakistan has been doing to eradicate the menace of a conflict and now terrorism that was born out the roles played by several powers over the course of history including Pakistan, which is pointed out in the video on multiple times , and the price Pakistan is paying for it. It shows the normalcy, the stunning landscape, the wonderful people of Pakistan and their resilient and brave spirit to lead beautiful lives despite tragedies in the past and the importance locals attach for Pakistan to continue in that direction, which is crucial not just for them but for the sake of the "brave" keyboard warriors too, for our peace and prosperity (including the keyboard warriors) depends on if we have a peaceful and stable Pakistan beside us and not the other way round.

This is the worst documentary I have ever watched. The whole documentary differs from what actually I have personally experienced in Pakistan. Its just a political propaganda specially sponsored by ISI to make people of the world believe that Pakistan is actually a good country. Wrong ! wrong! Wrong! ground situation is totally different. Donot fall in their trap and try to ever visit this country. Even Afghanistan is a heaven compared to this hell named "Pakistan". The true reality of Pakistan is that it is the most corrupt country with no ethics and values. It is occupying another Country called Balochistan and mercilessly murdering the innocent Balochs like it murdered 3 million Bangladeshis. No Morale No Ethics No Values .
