As a stand alone game, it was good. But as a continuation of the previous titles it was a total let down.

I was very excited when this game came out, I expected them to build on Darksiders 2, despite the studio change, but they made it linear and boring.

    • There is no armour (except a DLC)
    • weapons are fixed
    • There is limited scaleability, the enemies don't get that much harder as you progress, nor are they as imaginative as the ones in Part 2.
    • The bosses don't have specials ways to be defeated.
    • The puzzles are easy.
    • There are not a lot of cut scenes and not much of a story.
    • the scapes were not as expansive or had any difficulty to traverse or to find things in
    • music was ok

Although I enjoyed the game as something to pass the time with, and the cliff hanger and twist were good, the over feel was underwhelming.

I'd advise to buy it in a sale, I felt like my money was stolen.

Not going to write a mile long review but I thoroughly enjoyed this game. If you felt 1 and 2 were a little too grindy with interesting, but kinda pointless traversal of expansive areas then this title is a breath of fresh air. The focus is combat and Fury is more memorable than death in my opinion. Bosses feel more like dark souls than a QTE event like every boss of 1 and 2 and it was a welcomed change. Only issues are technical issues and another prequel story but id like to see 2 more games from this series and supporting this title will help that.
