Short summary

King Edvard, to please Queen Paige, diverts their honeymoon to the fictional crown protectorate of Belavia. Soon they discover an underhanded plot by the ambitious Danish prime minister; hijinks abound, but Eddie, Paige, and Belavia win.
As King Edvard and Queen Paige prepare to leave Copenhagen on their honeymoon, Eddie, to please Paige, changes their destination from a Caribbean island to the fictional crown protectorate of Belavia; shortly after they arrive, a henchman (Oliver) for the ambitious Danish prime minister (Polonius) sees the couple, and Paige recognizes Scott, now a journalist, previously a high-school boyfriend. Soon the king and queen discover Oliver, machines, and a crew, about to start clearing a forest preserve to make way for an oil pipeline; the king orders them not to begin. The royal couple make progress with the prince of Belavia, but Polonius does his dirty tricks. Edvard and Paige learn that Scott has secretly taken part in the evil work of Polonius and Oliver. Many hijinks abound, but, predictably, good and right prevail, so Eddie and Paige win, as does Belavia. The Danish parliament follow the leadership of their king, thereby defeating Polonius.

Trailers "The Prince & Me 3: A Royal Honeymoon (2008)"

In the scene where Oliver and Polonius attack Scott in his room, the newspaper Theu looks at is a real Danish paper - on the back it reads: 'Super offers for the East' = travel offers.

At the start of the film is a quick view of Copenhagen: Nyhavn, The little Mermaid and Amalienborg palace - which is the residence of the Danish royal family.

The outside of Christiansborg palace is referred to as 'the residence of the Prime Minister', Polonius - in real life it houses the folketing (the Danish Parliament.)

The building shown in the film to house the Folketing (the Danish Parliament) is in fact the University of Copenhagen - founded 1479. The shown imposing building, however, was built in 1831.

OMG, I really can't stand Kam (the woman who played Paige), her acting sucks! The storyline is old, *spoilers* some ex-boyfriend appear out of no where, and the prince get jealous and stuff, and this prime minister has a plan and will destroy the natural resources of the country. Nothing new, I can predict everything from the movie.

Even the prince was played by a different actor, he isn't that bad, but the movie makes him look really dumb, not that he is ugly or anything, it's just that, the way he talks, the way he acts is getting on my nerves, he doesn't seem like a prince at all! He seems like a gurmpy, jealous teenager. And the ex of Kam is dreadful too! Like the prince, he acts stupid, i wonder if this has anything to do with the director? Maybe the director told them to act dumb, oh god, they are trying too hard to make the film a comedy. :( Well, i guess this is better than the second one since I'm not expecting too much of it LOL! And Paige finally blowed her hair straight, better hair, better make up, and they had their honeymoon in this snowy place, the scene is beautiful, too. So i give it a 3/10 lol!

Paige and Edvard go on their honeymoon. In an attempt to avoid paparazzi and have some privacy, they secretly change their destination and happen on a plot that the prime minister has to get reelected. A past boyfriend of Paige's shows up (conveniently) and threatens the trust that the couple shares in an attempt to distract and discredit them so the prime ministers plan can go through. Will Paige and Edvard save Batlavia? The first Prince and Me was the best of the franchise. While this movie is cute, it is a typical sequel when a franchise tries to keep a story line going. The only time a sequel works, besides a good story line, is using the same actors with the same chemistry. While there is some consistency, it is always disappointing and gives the movie a "B" rated feeling. (especially when it doesn't go to theaters). It is cute and if you liked the second one, you'll like this one. I still prefer the original.

New Queen Paige (Kam Heskin) has just been married to her handsome, Danish King Edvard (Chris Geere). The romance between the American medical student and her prince-turned-king is finally fully committed. Now its time for the honeymoon, of course. But, the original plans to travel to a warm island has Paige in some sadness, for its near the holidays and she, from Wisconsin, is used to a white Christmas. Sensing her mood, Edvard surprises her by whisking her off to a fictitious, unspoiled little Scandinavian country instead. It's heaven. There is skiing, tall fir trees and togetherness. Alas, the new prime minister under Eddie is secretly wicked and has been planning to spoil the tiny country's landscape with mining. And, no one informed him of the honeymoon's changed venue, either. Afraid that the king will find out what he has been up to, the PM sends a former, Yankee boyfriend of Paige to the country to distract them. It works, in part, for Scott talks up a storm and turns up wherever the couple goes. But, is it too big a deception to hide? Maybe! Then, too, Ed gets somewhat concerned that Scott may be trying to woo his bride away from him! Is he? Maybe again! Ho, ho, ho, what have we here? This is a nice third installment to a truly wonderful series. Heskin is a spunky beauty and Geere, who replaces the original Ed for the first time, has a nice look and manner. The rest of the cast is also quite wonderful, especially the gentleman playing the evil minister. Then, the scenery is so gorgeous that you want to hop on a plane while the costumes, story and direction are absolutely worthy of praise. Are you a big fan of the series that began with the Julia Stiles original movie? You are in for a royal treat, then, as you will undoubtedly take a shine to film number three.

This movie disgusted me on so many levels. The acting and direction were horrific and laughable. I enjoyed the original, but this is so far removed from that. The overbearing liberal environmental message is so in your face and so heavy handed that I was surprised to see that Al Gore did not produce it. The ridiculous premise is that in order for an oil pipeline to be built (The awful, dastardly Prime Minister with the evil facial hair is of course on the side of the greedy earth-destroying oil companies) an ENTIRE forest (A wildlife preserve no less) must be levelled. If my memory serves me, pipelines are fairly thin conduits of oil that routinely run through areas of wildlife without any disruption. And certainly an entire forest would not need to be levelled to build one. And to show that nature is on the side of the liberal prince and princess, they are led to the site of the bulldozers by a beautiful stag no less. See? Even the deer are democrats!! That wasn't the first time I wanted to hurl in this movie. If you or your children would like to be indoctrinated into the Hollywood, uber-liberal far left fascist enviro-nazi movement, this is a good primer. If you think developing natural resources in a safe responsible way is good for the economy and provides jobs and much needed non-terrorist-produced oil (And it seems the residents of this fictional town could use the industry) Then skip it. If you choose to ignore me, watch it at your own peril. And keep a bucket handy, you're gonna need it.

i don't understand why everyone is bashing this movie. it is a sweet tale about true love between two lovers: a king, a some normal chick. it's really great. there are some moments when it was really great. it was really heartfelt, and great, because it was about a battle for her heart between the prince and that other guy. Scott I think. he was great.

on a more serious note, i think this movie is great for the careers of Kam and Chris, because they were great. it shows how great their acting abilities are. some of the other British folk were great also in terms of acting. i thought the sword fight was great too. it was pretty great and awesome, almost to the degree of the pirates of the caribbean movies. the part with the snow mobiles was pretty awesome and great too. i thought it was cool how they used them. i had a pretty great experience with that scene. that great scene.

this might not be for people who are haters of great movies. however, if you're just sitting around one night, and you wana have a great time, watch this movie. it really is great. i'm not kidding.

just please watch it. i'm serious.

The movie was just as good as the first two, something always going wrong. The Prime Minister pulling a stunt just to be able to ruin Edvard and Paige i think is ludicrous, and the delay when they got off the plane and leaving them stranded and having one of their flunkies take them to the hotel in a carriage I think was just a scheme. I think most of the acting was dead on and others not so much. The plot could have been executed better and obviously the ex boyfriend conveniently showing up knew the crooked man who wanted control. That is too easily guessed by watching closely. The movie could have been better, but somethings weren't executed. Some movies have predictable endings, I don't see a predictable ending here, there always has to be a villain, i think its funny how the Prime Minister is so daft he thinks he can cross Edvard but it flunders.

Love this movie! if you want a cute, funny, charming fairytale - you've come to the right place. Kam Heskin and Chris Geere are perfect as King and Queen of Denmark. Great that the miserably-looking, whining Luke Mably was replaced. Chris Geere may be boyish-looking, but he has humour (which Mably didn't), is funny and able to act with authority and dignity even in situations where he is supposed to be ridiculed. He and Kam actually look like they are in love. One believes in their love story. Kam Heskin has apart from enthusiasm added charm, sweetness and dignity to her Queen Paige that Julia Stiles lacked. But 'sweetness' and 'dignity' is not very trendy these days, which may be why so many seem to be overly negative towards her. That is SO unfair. She does a great job as queen Paige! I didn't believe in Julia Stiles' Paige or Luke Mably's Eddie. Todd Jensen does a great job as the evil Polonius with a devilish smile that almost make Jack Nicholson look like a boy scout - and Joshua Rubin is hilarious as the oily and fawning crook: Oliver. He is superb! Great fencing fight between the king and prime minister. Very original idea!
