You have to have read the books, or just some of them with your kids for this film to be something, this is not an introduction of Iqbal and his family and friends, we jump right into one of the stories from the books and it works out quite well, but only if you know something about Iqbal and the rest of the crew in my opinion.

Me and the kids were entertained and we had been looking forward to seeing Iqbal and the others for quite some time, we have been reading the books ever since the first ones came out and it is nice to see the author in the film along side all the characters. They were not all what we had expected, and not all how I imitate them when reading aloud for the kids :) but it was a nice transformation to the big screen.
