Short summary

When Bolin is captured, Korra and Mako find themselves on the trail of Amon, the masked leader of the Equalists. They gain entry to "The Revelation," a rally of anti-bending supporters, where they discover that Amon has an ability that should be impossible to anyone but the Avatar - the power to take away a person's bending, permanently.

I'm only at episode three as I write this review but every time I watch an episode my eyes are glued to the screen. These first three episodes were probably one of the best season starting episodes that I've seen and I have seen quite a lot. The intrigue the backstories and character depth are off the charts here. You will see that as you watch this show (which by the way up until now has had no filler episode) and get to know characters and their stories you will feel like there is actually something in the past of these characters that'll make you care for them. As for Korra, as I initially thought she is growing as a character and that is beautiful to see. Not only that but the makers of the show know to pin point certain training that she initially did wrong and how she evolves in that particular training during these three episodes (unlike in Avatar: TLA where Aang's training in some departments were either brought up when the plot needed them of left until the end of the show so that they would explode off the charts by the end in a "Deus Ex Machina" style). Moving to the villain... although I watch this series on german Dub and I'm not a german speaking person I understood and felt with Amon and his plan to bring order into the world b eliminating Benders. I think that the deeper I'll go into this show the more I'll like it and and on the other hand hate Avatar:TLA. Agree with me or not (I don't care), this show is making Avatar:TLA look like a joke in comparison with the character depth here, the intrigue, the motivations of the characters and overall the action. I can't wait for another episode, this series is becoming one of the best I've seen in anime ever!
