Trailers "Chained (2012)"
Both 'Jennifer Lynch (I)' and Vincent D'Onofrio have stated they would have preferred that the title of this film be "Rabbit".
In the original script, Rabbit left the house to discover that an entire subdivision had been built up unbeknown to him, filled with children and families, all unaware of the horrors going on inside the house.
Some viewers complained that the ending of the film felt rushed and tagged on. Jennifer Lynch said that the ending made more sense in the script, but due to time and budget constraints, it wasn't able to be executed properly.
The original script called for Bob to keep pieces of his victims in jars and cut off Rabbit's thumbs. When Jennifer Lynch took on the project, she did some re-writes to reduce the violent nature of the film.
When asked about her favorite scene in the movie, director Jennifer Lynch says it is the game with the drivers licenses, which was originally much longer and partially improvised by the actors.
While the length of time is never explicitly stated in the film, Rabbit has been held prisoner for 10 years by the end of the story.
Vincent D'Onofrio won the 2012 Fright Meter Award for Best Actor for his performance.
The original focus of the story involved detectives actively pursuing Bob, who they nicknamed "The Dicer" for his habit of cutting women up before killing them. The relationship between Bob and Rabbit was secondary.
In the scene when Bob throws rocks at Rabbit, Vincent D'Onofrio actually threw sponges that were shaped like rocks at Evan Bird.
Was originally rated NC-17 by the MPAA for "some explicit violence" but the film was later edited to achieve an R rating for "disturbing and sadistic violent content including bloody killings and rape, and for language and sexuality."
According to the newspaper Rabbit reads, he and his mother were taken in the second week of January.
Julia Ormond already starred in Surveillance, also directed by Jennifer Lynch.
Jennifer Lynch: As the TV Cook Show Host.
