Short summary

The firemen rescue an elderly man from his burning house. Chet is determined to exterminate an uninvited guest in the station. A man is continually going into cardiac arrest and the doctors try to find a reason. An elderly woman is brought in with breathing problems, and Dixie comforts her worried husband. Roy and John help break up a barfight, then join several fire companies in putting out a blaze caused by a jet fighter crashing into an apartment house; John is injured in an explosion and one of the Pasadena firemen goes in to save him.

The apartment building fire, which was filmed in Pasadena, featured members of the Pasadena Fire Department. It is also the first time a city fire company is featured on the show.

The 2 bar brawlers, Sam and Pete, should have known that attacking Johnny and Roy would carry the same weight with the law as attacking a police officer. The law applies to all public servants while in the performance of their duty.

If you watch this episode you will see the character played by Ronnie Schell being transported to Raampart via ambulance. from the time he is in it you will see it is a FORD but when they show the ambulance backing in to the ER area it is now a Chevrolet. I thought maybe I mad a mistake but I think this was also done in other episodes. It is to bad that most of the shows today do not come close to Emergency. Crossing Jordan was just a more up to date Quincy. Although she was much nicer to look at then Jack Klugman. That was also a disappointment when Jack was in a two parter but as someone else and not Quincy. Now it looks like there are more TV Cop dramas. Just what we need.

'The Mouse' Season 4 Ep. 20

This is a pretty good episode..most are good, but this one is pretty good. Pretty Darn Good even.

As usual the light comedy stuff is always good, but there is some real action and even some tender life issues covered.

A Fighter Jet crashing into apartments! Are you kidding me?

I would put this episode up against any made for TV Movie of the era.

I love watching this and other shows from these times because you can catch some youngsters before they were stars, but also some great character actors near the end of their careers.
