Short summary
Sam goes undercover as an Irish rogue to infiltrate Jimmy McManus's murderous gang. He thus also has an affair with Jimmy's sister Colleen, his ideal woman as a boy. Sam's efforts to avoid meeting his juvenile self now fail, as she's his ma's trusted neighbor and Sammy's babysitter. Irius loyalties prove a viper's nest. Meanwhile Chris and Ray bicker over religion.
The title is from the song "All the Young Dudes" by David Bowie, originally recorded and released as a single by Mott the Hoople in 1972.
Jason O'Mara and Paige Turco had previously worked together on The Agency (2001). Their characters had also became romantically involved.
