Erotic/adult movies have been around just as long as your regular movies. I've seen quite a few of these early adult movies from the 1910s and 20s but this one here is perhaps the only one of these early movies that gained any type of notoriety. This is the film that helped give Marylin Monroe a rather bad reputation as it was reported that she played the lead in this film, which features plenty of nudity and sexual situations. It wasn't until 1982 that the rumor was finally put to rest when the real star, Arlene Hunter, came forward in a Playboy interview admitting that she was the star. The footage is in pretty bad shape and appears to be 8mm so any real detail is hard to see. After watching the film I think it was pretty far fetched to think this was Monroe but I'm sure the gossip machines back in the day didn't bother to actually watch the film.

As for the film itself and not its history, I must admit that I found it to be wonderful. Seven minutes of the big breasted Hunter doing various poses as the camera slowly moves around showing every inch of her body. I was really shocked at how erotic the movie actually was as whoever directed it (it's not known) must have known what they were doing as it contains some of the most erotic charm that I've ever seen. There's a sequence with Hunter playing with an apple that contains a certain innocence that has been ruined by countless other filmmakers trying to do the same thing. We have a sequence with her playing with a bottle and once again, it's something we've seen countless times but done here to perfection. There's no question that Hunter is extremely beautiful but that's not enough to make a movie work. This film really does come together on all sides and will likely stay in your mind once it ends.
