Short summary

The political news-magazine RagTalk interviews public figures about the recent turn of events in the world: the Return of the Son of God. Powerful figures in politics and religion try to deal with the idea that they really don't matter anymore. Bruised egos unable to be put aside, the world soon finds itself hurling toward something more re-defining than that surprising day in the Valley of Armageddon.

In the scene with High Elder Preacher Roberts, he is scene fingering an ornate book, presumed to be a Holy Bible, in actuality it is a copy of "Masterpieces of Mystery," edited by Ellery Queen.

The large, heavy "Bible" that Elijah The Prophet reads from is in actuality an Encyclopedia of Baseball.

Many of the scenes were filmed on the same day in different areas of a large toy company in Santa Monica, CA.

This movie feels longer than it is but I don't mean that in a bad way. I mean I was sucked into the world of the story and the characters and I didn't realize the time was passing or even realize it was a short film. I saw it at the premiere at the awesome Kala Eatery, during one of their summer movie nights. The whole thing had a very Seinfeldian vibe. All these dudes were talking about God taking over the world, but nobody was really acting any different and God wasn't really around much until well I think if I say anymore I'm a spoiler. I have to say if the budget on this was really $1500 they did an amazing job because that shot of New York must have cost more than that.

Okay, I know I'm the filmmaker but I have to review my own work.

I think this is an important Political/Religious movie, for what it has to say. What it has to say is that we are ALL worth loving, and worth saving, but that we spend a great deal of time getting in our own way.

Men and women are basically good. We all want the world to be saved. Where it all falls apart, and where it all falls apart for the people in my film, is that when the people in the world ARE all finally saved, when the Messiah DOES finally come, the do-gooders, the worriers, and the leaders of the earth are so used to a world of unsolvable problems that they are incapable of accepting the plain and simple truth of a "world without strife" when it is right in front of them. And, in this way, they STILL end up rejecting the Eden they could have enjoyed.

Don't know if all that counts as "spoilers" (aside from thematically) but I figure it is better safe than sorry. I hope you enjoy my film, if you have a chance to see it.
