It's a journey of not only the age in transition but also a reminder about how human nature is complicated; altruistic, kind, greedy & exploitive. BBC as always have produced an amazing 3 part series & Will Millard has presented it with an honest & remarkable way. Be moved with the highs and lows of the tides we call life...

I have watched every documentary on the people of Papua New Guinea that I could get my hands on. This 3 part series has been more eye opening than any other I've seen. It feels like the first honest look at the lives of indigenous tribes I've ever been shown. I won't spoil any of the twists and turns for you. Watch this to the end. It is enlightening.

That ending! oh my Korowai....been to the Baliem Valley, the center of West Papua where the people there were discovered 40 years earlier than Korowai, already a lifetime experience for me.

This series not only shows the wonderful part of the culture, but also the other influences that all of the people from modern world went there brought to the culture. We are just all humans.

Will Millard is a thoughtful and intelligent presenter - this is an exceptional documentary that exposes the artifice of those carefully constructed stories which make for easy evening viewing but are complete fabrications - and also provides insight into why it is so hard to present the truth. Compelling and highly unusual - as well as very uncomfortable viewing.
