Wealthy Reena falls in love with her brother's (Vijay) friend, Pune-based Bajrang Tiwari, a motorbike-stuntman, much to the chagrin of her widowed mother. When Reena adamantly insists on marrying him, her mother attempts to talk Vijay and Bajrang to stop risking their lives as her husband, as well as Bajrang's dad had lost their respective lives living dangerously. She even wants Bajrang to live with her, but he refuses. The marriage takes place, and Reena re-locates to live in the slums with her husband. Shortly thereafter she gives birth to a daughter, Guddi. Then their lives are shattered after Vijay is killed, and evidence points to Bajrang. Reena leaves him and moves in with her mother and wants Guddi to also live with her. More surprises and shocks await her when she finds that Bajrang has absconded with Guddi and she may never see her child again.

" Amma Dekh" was sampled from "On a Ragga Tip" by SL2 .

In 1993, singer Bali released a album in England under the OSA record label, titled "Mama Techno Bad Boy - Amma Dekh". Music by Deepak Khazanchi. The album had a different and original version of the song "Amma Dekh". The song was a rage in parties all over the world. Thats when the producer of Stunttman decided to hire Bali and Nadeem Shravan and recreate the song " Amma Dekh" The Stunttman version would have different music and would have more Hindi in the song.

Punjabi singer, Palvinder Dhami of Heera fame claimed that 'Amma Dekh' was his original composition. Dhami's band, 'Heera' was started way back in 1980 but he was known to Indians only after an Indian concert in 1995. 'On a ragga tip' by SL2, also sounds exactly same as 'Amma dekh'. And this was released in 1991. Considering Dhami's existence since 1980, was the rave track plagiarised? I was not able to ascertain the release year of Palvinder Dhami's version of this song. But the fact remains that Nadeem Shravan have lifted this song, that made Bali Brahmabhatt quite popular.

To ensure the safety of Jackie Shroff while doing his stunts, safety padding worth 1.5 lakhs were used.

I put on B4U Movies and see a film called 'Stuntman', which stars a good actor like Jackie Shroff, so I thought to stick to it. But I was hugely disappointed!

Deepak Balraj, the director of this misadventure... hits new lows. 'Stuntman; is a terrific idea, but the execution, the situations are so so dull and absurd that you wander in the misery. The film, of-what I have researched was a box office dud durning it's release way back in 1994. The direction is destroyed by the screenplay. Music wise, okay. Though Amma Dekh, has remained a cult-hit.

Acting wise, Jackie Shroff has always been a dependable actor, but the screenplay doesn't do justice to him. He gets wasted after a point. Shakti Kapoor is Incredible in the most silly role ever! He still pitches in a sincere performance. The actress is a yawn. Tinu Anand is his usual self, the annoying villain. The child artist, is terrible.

'Stuntman' is a yawn, with Shakti Kapoor's silly tag lines and poor screenplay. Thumbs Down!
