In this episode we have a murder that is connected to a fashion design company that is having their secret new designs stolen even before they can get the clothing to the manufacture stage. In this situation it is designs for a new bikini designed by ladies-man Rick Stassi for Dunbar Designs. The day after the designs were final the morning paper already had knock-offs for sale that matched the design. Some one had again stolen the designs.

It is not long before Rick Stassi is murdered and a sweet young bikini model is accused of the death and also stealing designs from Dunbar. But with Perry Mason defending the young girl, we know that someone else is bound to have committed the heinous act and the confession will be available in the witness box at the County courthouse.

There are many suspects in this mystery as the murdered man, Stassi, seems to have a short relationship with every female, married or unmarried, in the cast. But it will come down to fine details that will finally lead Perry to discover the true identity of the killer.

There is nothing really remarkable about this episode other than the strong veteran cast. But it was a nice mystery that was interesting throughout. A show that will have you guessing near every scene as someone else appears to be the main suspect but it will be the final courtroom scene that will lead to the lies being shown the light of day. Good watch.

**SPOILERS** It's real easy to pick out the future decedent in this one. See, there's a formula: find the meanest, rottenest, dirtiest, snakeiest, creepiest, lowest dirtbag in the show, and say adios. It's him (or her). What there is also a formula for is the fact that somehow, he gets away with it, until he's happily murdered. In this case, he also has a foreign accent; probably Italian or French; either way. that helps the "so long, rat" factor.

Next formula: the dumb dingbat that just can't figure out how he or she managed to get themselves into this mess. Formula: you did the stupidest, most childish, idiotic, inexplicably moronic things you possibly could.

Once Perry and Paul eliminate the potential suspects, the "Lone Sleezebag" remains on the stand, Perry lets them talk themselves into the gas chamber. The only thing this killer didn't do was drop the pellets into the acid themselves, just lazy, I guess.

Acting was good, John Anderson was wasted, Della was beautiful. Paul had a '58 T-Bird, Perry a Fairlane (ridiculous; shoulda been a Cadillac). Dead guy, a Mercury. There were NO bikinis in this episode; a two-piece is NOT a bikini, I knew this when I was a kid, when this episode came out, courtesy of Brigette Bardot.

Someone is stealing the fashion designs for the new spring line for John Lupton. His competitor Paul Langton is getting them and Lupton cannot stop the leak at his firm. He consults Perry Mason who puts Paul Drake on the case. He finds stolen designs in the possession of Lupton's girl friend and model Rita Huntingdon. And it's Rita who is charged with the murder of designer Stephen Bekassy who is pulling all kinds of doublecrosses, personal and business wise.

The usual assortment of suspects are present and Bekassy is the kind of guy that all kinds of people would have a motive to kill. The only hint I'll give you is that the eventual real culprit had a motive more personal than business.

***SPOILERS*** Perry Mason, Raymond Burr, gets himself up to his navel in this episode about the fashion industry involving stolen high class Dunbar original fashions and sold for as much as one tenth of their value on the streets and cut rate shops as knockoff's. It's first suspected that Dunbar's CEO Wally Dunbar's, John Lupton, top designer Rick Stassi, Stephen Bekassy, is the fly in the ointment or spy in the company that's been selling his deigns to rival competitors. That's until he's found murdered in his studio a few days later!

With Perry already taking the case to find out who's stealing his client Wally Dunbar's secret fashion sketches he's now involved with defending Wally's girlfriend Kitty Wynn played by 1959 Miss America and runner up to 1959 Miss universe contestant Terry Huntington. It's Kitty whom Stassi had the hots for and was always trying to get into her bikini, with her in it, since she started working for the company about a year ago. Stassi also had in his possession very revealing photos or sketches of Kitty that he was threatening to blackmail her with if she didn't give into his advances. With all the evidence pointing at her and with Kitty having no alibi to where she was at the time of Stassi's death she indited in his murder . Another thing that didn't help Kitty is that a number of Stassi's secret and original fashion sketches were found in her car. Making her also the #1 suspect is being the person stealing her boyfriend Wally Dumber's top secret fashions deigns and selling them to the highest bidders!

***SPOILERS**** Perry for a moment has trouble keeping his mind or eyes on the murder case he's involved in by keeping his eyes more on his beautiful client Kitty Wynn then whatever evidence he can dig up to prove her innocence. Still it's not that hard for him to uncover Stassi's killer by checking out all the women and models who worked at the Dunbar Fashion Company whom he had affairs as well as dumped, when he got tired of them, over the years.In the end Perry got the person who murdered Stassi to admit his or her crime by in fact skillfully implicating someone else in his murder. That rick-o-shay tactic unnerved Stassi's murderer so much that it had him involuntary admit his crime! Even though he wasn't even called by Perry Mason to take the stand!
