What should have been a Class Action $175 billion case filed in 1996 that represented over 300,000 tribal members became an $8 billion settlement offer in 2008 under President Bush, which was then rescinded and resettled under President Obama in 2009 for $3.4 billion-of which only $1.4 billion went to the tribal members(approximately $1,800 each).

Melinda Janko has done a wonderful job of putting together a very important story about one woman's fight for justice for her people! Highly recommend..10 stars!
