Short summary

Magazine photographer Alex Anderson and author Colin Page head to Fiji in search of the elusive blue pearl that Colin wrote about in his bestselling novel Pearl in Paradise. Alex stands to land the creative director position if she can photograph the pearl for the magazine's 30th anniversary issue, and Colin hopes that by writing a guest article about the long-lost gem he can boost sales of his failing other books and not lose his publisher. As the two head off to their search, neither is aware yet that finding love could be the rarest adventure of all.

Okay, I know what to expect from these from these Hallmark movies. They are sweet, fun and heartwarming. You usually get what you expect. This one was slightly different. The two leads had wonderful chemistry and the story was very sweet. The adventure was fun. Yeah, I love Hallmark movies. They make me smile in a time when smiles don't come as easily as they used to. This one was really special and that is coming from someone who really is not as big of a fan of Hallmark Summer movies. I tend to love the Autumn and Christmas movies the best. This movie will be a rewatch for me most definitely

Thank you, Hallmark, for finally making a romcom worth recommending and definitely worth watching again. I am happy to say that this is a long time coming second movie that I've added to my Hallmark favorites list this year in addition to The Beach House which was a well done Hallmark Hall of Fame drama. Kristoffer Polaha and Jill Wagner are two of my favorites in the Hallmark family and their chemistry and comic timing was spot on. The scenery was gorgeous while in Fiji again, but this was the first of the summer movies this year that had a well-written script instead of just relying on the exotic locations (which have definitely been a real treat all summer) to amp up the stories. Finally, it was just wonderful that there was no jealous, overbearing boyfriend showing up at the halfway point. This is still mostly predictable, but it's a fun, adventurous, romantic journey and my favorite Hallmark film this year...so far!

I read the reviews before watching the movie and there are always good reviews and bad reviews for these types of movie. This is afterall a Hallmark movie, which I like watching to escape reality for a while, not because they are Oscar winning stories.

I don't know if the reviews were from people involved in the movie or what, but take it from someone who has seen over 100+ of these movies: I actually believe this is above average.

The contrast between both leads was great: he is organized, afraid of new things, adventure and she is the total opposite: after spending time together they get the other's habits (like the packing their clothes thing) and I think it's beautiful. They added some depth to the characters.

They obviously had amazing chemistry and I was surprised by part of the outcome of the plot, which I didn't see coming. Thank you Hallmark, for surprising me every once in a while. I don't know if they actually recorded in Fiji but the scenery was breathtaking. That's an adventure I wouldn't mind going on.

Hallmark has done it right this time. This is the best movie so far this year. Casting, story, location, editing, every thing just perfect for a 10.

I thoroughly enjoyed this movie, principally because the plot was more complicated than most Hallmark movies (ie I knew that it would end well but I didn't know how we'd get there) and especially because of the diversity of the cast. Hallmark movies aren't diverse at all, so to see new characters, new cultures and new places represented was refreshing and it captivated my interest. I also was glad to see diverse characters with more than just a few lines- we got to learn about their relationships, their culture, oral history, etc. Here's hoping Hallmark continues this trend and actually diversifies it's protagonists as well.

The story is good. The leads have chemistry. The scenery is beautiful. A bit predictable at times - but enjoyable. The actors from New Zealand and Australia were a but annoying - and the agent extremely over-acted his part. But it was an enjoyable movie. The ending is the best...

Wow! So this movie is in my top 10 Hallmark movies ever! Their chemistry is on point, they are so beautiful together, the movie is full of romance, fun times and the scenery is incredible. I wish I can go there sometimes. For sure I will see this movie again soon!

Finally, a really really good story. Not formula. Loved the male character "twist"! Refreshing. Scenery, of course, was gorgeous. Great characters. Great actors!!!!

I really enjoyed this movie. I only got to see it once which really surprises me since I watch Hallmark about 80% of the time and I'm retired. I looked for it. But I found the story interesting and something different. I thought the chemistry was good between the leads and of course the location was great. It was colorful in every sense and you don't usually get that with Hallmark. Can't wait to see again hopefully before the summer. I will definitely tune in to see the leads limited run mystery series coming soon.

I enjoyed the movie and the exotic scenery but one thing bugs me and here it is. This might be a plothole unless I am mistaken.

When did Alex contact Colin concerning his trip to Fiji? He sees a note from Alex in his room. How does he know about her? It is obvious they never met and when she bumps into him at the airport she does not recognize him even though she now has a copy of his book with her.

This was a cute story with good chemistry between the actors. I liked it, despite the undeniable copycat ending that was too obviously close to another great classic romantic comedy that I love...did anyone else catch it?

I really enjoyed this movie, it surprised me by being more complicated and much more diverse than most Hallmark movies. I knew that the story would end well, but I didn't know how we would get there. The diversity of the cast was refreshing and grabbed my attention. Instead of them just having a few lines we get to learn about the people, culture, and oral history of the place in a way that is significant to the plot. I really hope that Hallmark continues in this vein and diversifies it's protagonists as well!

My heading says it all...another terrible film given misleading positive reviews from the cast and crew and their friends and family. It's becoming comical...these low-talent movies relying on bait to lure in viewers and I'm tired of it. Find another career people...

There was no chemistry between the characters and Jill Wagner's hair stylist for this film should never be hired to groom a poodle let alone a lead actress.
