Short summary

It couldn't take a long time, and then the little dinosaur would eclose. Finally the eggshells crackled. "It is a boy", the dinosaur father shouted lucky. And in a little while, the small Dino played with the other dinosaur children and discovered bit by bit his neighborhood. But some day - the small dinosaur was attending some of his friends - the earth began to tremble. And shortly after, the volcano erupted. The small Dino had to wait until the volcano had eased, before he could run home. But when he arrived he was very frightened. Everything was destroyed. No trace of his family. "I must find them", he sobbed. And he started a long and adventurous search.

Well aware that this review is going to be very similar in wording to my reviews for Dingo Pictures' 'The Musicians of Bremen' and 'Hercules', but all of Dingo Picture's output has so much of the same flaws that it is hard not to repeat oneself.

It is easy to see why the animations of Dingo Pictures are relatively obscure, though those who have had the misfortune of seeing any of their output (which along with their equally low-budget computer animated counterpart Video Brinquedo have not once made anything worthwhile) but cannot forget their awfulness.

As was said before, it is hard to know where to start when there are no redeeming qualities whatsoever, and even for a studio with next to nothing worthwhile 'The Little Dinosaur' is one of their worst. The animation is appalling, even for low-budget animation, the flat colours, very simplistic backgrounds and lack of detail and derivative, recycled and creepy character animation as well as a style that makes art of primary school children who draw and paint in half an hour or less seem more accomplished.

Music always sounds misplaced and never fitting with what's going on, not to mention that it very rarely stops. The script is incredibly repetitive and juvenile, with over-used and over-obvious narration that sounds like a monotone narrator reading out a storybook for an audio book/recording, that it will insult any adult is bad enough but even young children will feel dumber after hearing some of the dialogue here. The story blatantly rips off 'The Land Before Time' (which is actually a great film), and feels stretched and 'The Little Dinosaur' is not even that long, with incredibly plodding pacing, and is very disjointed and goes nowhere a lot of the time.

Characters are excruciatingly irritating, not a likable or interesting character among them, while the sound effects are bizarre and randomly placed and the voice acting is amateurish even by low-budget animation standards, often being annoying, poorly recorded, creepy-sounding and incomprehensible and even ill-fitting.

To sum up, among the worst of Dingo Pictures' very dubious output. 1/10. Bethany Cox

This is crap. No. Forever and ever. Goodbye I can't believe I watched this. This is the death of animation it's worst than food fight. I wouldn't be surprised if the English version wasn't the same story either way a cheap cash in on the land before time. Do wasn't your time on this run away. If you like really bad movies this will make you laugh. I'd rather you watch the room. please don't show this movie to your children. How was this movie even made. The only way you can get this movie is on Playstation I hope dingo pictures just disappears forever. I think I lost brain cells watch this this isn't just bad animation this is like raping animation There are only like two voice actors. And the story what brain dead hamster. You know what even a brain dead hamster could make a better movie.

This "animated" movie, even if to define it as such is to say the least a dubious affirmation, it was released in 2000 produced by the animation studio: "Dingo Pictures". This movie simply sucks! It is the "death" of animated cinema, the lowest point an animated movie can reach. But criticizing without explaining why, it would be too easy ... In this movie the animations are the most basic I've ever seen, the only animated parts of the characters are: the mouth and the paws, the dialogues are at the limit of the ridiculous and the trivial, the colors are "dead" and applied with haste and very little care, the drawings are ugly and crooked and the dubbing "makes throwing up". In addition all this, is surrounded by useless characters and a plot without purpose, but I will not tell you, so you can "enjoy" 45 minutes of gagging ... Many greetings and see you at the next review .. .
