» » Forever Andre and Sarah (2018– )

Short summary

Two Riverside realtors forge a connection.

The sequence when Sarah and Andre get more comfortable and crack open a bottle of wine was filmed all in one continuous shot throughout the home.

Though it acts as the sixth episode in the series, episode 106 was the last episode shot before production wrapped on FOREVER.

Andre's story about growing up in Monterey Park and attending a predominantly Asian high school was based loosely on the experiences of "FOREVER" location manager, Manny Padilla.

The house in this episode was located in Granada Hills, CA.

A member of the production team went scuba-diving in the backyard pool of the house to properly place lights for the scene in the bedroom.

The random cupboard located ten feet in the air was added to the home by production designer, Amy Williams.

Hong Chau, who plays the character of Sarah, had a fantastic year after being nominated for a Golden Globe for her performance in "Downsizing". She currently stars in another Prime Video series, "Homecoming".

The putting green found out back was installed by the production team for the scene when Sarah and Andre reconnect years later in episode 106.

Jason Mitchell's break out performance was as Eazy-E in "Straight Outta Compton".

For Sarah to be nicknamed "Lucy Liu" in highschool she would have needed to be in high school (15-18) in the late 90's when Lucy began her acting career (or at least became a household name in Kentucky). Making her born in the late 70's/early 80's. Therefore, Andre probably wouldn't have aged to 60 by 2018 if they were the same age.

This episode could have been a Black Mirror episode. It could have been a short Alan Rudolph film. It is now my newest favorite half hour of television in years. Brilliant from top to bottom and a perfect episode 6 of a series I still can't figure out and can't stop watching. It's a one day binge and I have two more to go. Back to Forever. Thank you Alan Yang.

Acting is so touching and honest, wow... Writers deserve an emmy for it. Actors for sure!!

This is one of the best things I've seen in a while. A complex delve into human emotion and how, sometimes, not everything turns out as planned.

As I watched this episode... 1: I loved it. 2: I kept waiting for it to tie itself to the rest of the series. I suspected it would, but wanted to know how.

And then...there it was. And it all made sense. And it was sweet and sad. And what seemed like a random one-off episode turned out to be, in my mind at least, pivotal.

This episode had nothing to do with the series and was too drawn out to watch.

This could have been a one off episode of an anthology series as it was relevant and yet independent of Forever at the same time.

This was great though. This was one of the best episodes of TV this year.

It was funny and depressing at the same time and hopefully inspired everyone watching to chase their dreams in life before it is too late.

This was a bizarre episode of what has otherwise been a fun and interesting series. My title mentions the poor acting by the two leads but the entire thing reads like a high schooler's idea of being deep. It's just awful. I can't even imagine what purpose they thought this was serving as far as requiring the audience to sit through it for a point that could have been made in 30 seconds.

This episode would have been much better without all the infidelity. It could have been a bittersweet love story, instead it was a story about two people who routinely cheat on their respective spouses.

I love the show but hated episode 6 "Andre and Sarah" it slowed everything down for me and made no sense. I don't care about 2 new characters.

This episode was pointless and a had nothing to do with the series, just two people with zero chemistry and a short story about cheating. Other then that the series is great and different
