There is a singing contest in the town, the winner will be announced as the king's wife. The contest has three judges, the king Ahasuerus, Haman and the audience. Originally, Vasthi was the favorite to win, but she didn't show up because she thought there was no one better than her; the king Ahasuerus gets angry and decides to vote her off, and so did the audience, so she ends up being disqualified.
