As much as I like this series so far (I'm just at season 1, episode 4), I sometimes want to slap Ephram right across the face for having a chip on his shoulder and being so hostile towards his father! So.. do all doctors' sons really feel like that? Simply unable to accept that their parent may sometimes be absent due to the unpredictable nature of their work?? It's not like Dr.Brown was out in New York spending time with a mistress or a second family or something! I'm glad Greg Berlanti could come up with a clever and heartfelt drama like this, but Ephram is just too one-dimensional. And the way he acted out towards Amy in this episode.. gosh..! Snappy, sullen and sharp-tongued.. such a difficult boy!!! But of course, he's just a teenager and at that age supposedly unable to cope any better with what he's facing.. If I was also like this back then, how silly I must have looked :) Watching relational dramas like this makes me appreciate adulthood, lol.
