Short summary
Billy and Erwin make a prank call using Grim's cursed phone, thereby waking up a sea monster named Cthulu, who can destroy the world unless Grim and Mandy stop him.
In the intro, Mandy seems to be speaking gibberish, but when played backwards, it comes out to: "Cartoons will rot your brain."
The episode and its title are based on a 1926 horror story "The Call of Cthulhu" by H. P. Lovecraft. In this story (as well as in this episode) Cthulhu (sometimes spelled as Cthulu) is a monster sleeping at the bottom of the sea, who will destroy the world if awakened.
