The vintage cars in the film were attained entirely by accident - the producer was driving around town when she spotted one on the road, and she followed it all the way to their club house. They agreed to be a part of the film for free.

There was originally an extra character who would've been Canguro's sidekick (Conejo). He was written off the script after two performers who'd signed up to play it had their mothers die.
