Short summary
Adam and Little Joe witness Joaquin getting a bullet proof vest from a blacksmith and later Carlos brings a badly injured Joaquin to the Ponderosa after being victim to a lynch mob. Joaquin is a type of Robin Hood to the Mexican people but the ranchers don't see him the same way. Adam discovers there is more to being a man than simply turning 21.
The characters of Ruth and Eli Orowitz may have been a nod to Michael Landon of the original "Bonanza" series. His name at birth was Eugene Orowitz.
