Short summary

MarzGurl Productions presents "Saraba/Farewell, FamiKamen Rider," the thrilling conclusion to the story authored by the late Justin Carmical. After a massive fight in Canada, the FamiKamen Rider has gone missing in action, leaving his transformation belt behind and his cartridge vanished. In the aftermath of the battle, a new enemy appears, seeking out the power of the FamiKamen Rider for himself. For three years, MarzGurl has kept the transformation belt safe from enemy hands. Her search for the missing cartridge proves futile, until Chris, a rare video game collector, stumbles upon the cartridge by chance. Not knowing what he has found, Chris's curiosity makes him a target for this new evil. As he learns about the history of the FamiKamen Rider, with the additional support of an old friend and a new hero, it is up to MarzGurl and Chris to make the journey to find answers, confront their own fears, and stop this new threat before it is too late.

Released in its entirety for free online.

The film was originally created to conclude the story of the FamiKamen Rider that Justin Carmical began in his series, You Can Play This with a movie Kickstarter funded and in pre-production. However, following Justin Carmical's tragic passing, the saga was incomplete and the story left hanging. Kaylyn and Josh Saucedo took it upon themselves to write a new script and see the project to fruition,

The directors have gone on record as saying that, while they could release the film on Home Video, they would never consider it unless a situation existed where 100% of the proceeds from sales of the film went to a suicide prevention charity.

I have only seen a few of Justin Carmical's videos such as his "I like Candy" and "You can play this". I haven't seen much of his FamiKamen videos, though.

Originally he was going to star in this movie, but due his death, Kaylyn and Josh re-wrote the story.

It is a very dialogue heavy movie, with very little action much like a Kevin Smith or Tarantino film. So, it does get a little boring in the first hour.

But when the action finally happens after that hour, they're very satisfying. The fight scenes are well edited, done with zooming in on the characters as they fight. The climax of the movie is also good and quite emotional as well.

The acting is not that great, but then the people who star in this are really just YouTubers and internet reviewers.

The jokes are hit and miss. Some are good, others are lame.

But is this movie a big "Up yours" to Sega, though?

Overall, it's an alright film. Worth watching if you like either Marzgurl or Jew Wario.

Here's the thing. When Jew Wario died it was a sad state of affairs. He seemed like such a nice guy and this was his passion project which his friend Marzgurl wanted to make real. So the script was redone, characters played by Jew Wario would be played by Fake Shemps with their face covered and everything would be fine.

If only any of that were true.

This movie is a mess from start to finish. The writing is very hit and miss, the acting is absolutely terrible and the less said about Marzgurl trying to be dramatic the better. It was a bad movie made by untalented people.

And then the allegations started. And the truth came out that Jew Wario, a.k.a. Justin Carmichael was a sexual predator. This was covered up by the company he worked for, Channel Awesome, and the truth only came out after he killed himself.

So all we have left is this movie which thankfully has little actual Justin in it but that doesn't take away from the rest of the badness.

It's a curiosity piece more than anything really good. I'd avoid it completely if I were you.
