Stella wears a white Marilyn Monroe-style halter neck dress underneath her red Mickey Mouse hoodie and blue denims. Director Just and actress Keshia Watson worked out the outfit between them - as a young girl, the dress makes Stella feel pretty; the Mickey top is for warmth and hints at a lost innocence and the jeans is purely practical. The mixed clothing and layers sum up the character and her dealing with being homeless.
