Short summary

A resentful young woman searches for her missing mother while she struggles to find the culprit behind an illicit package - all the while suspecting her ex-boyfriend who works for her mother.

Writers Alexah S. Kim and Billy Moon actually collaborated in a cafe by writing down three possible story outlines a month before filming began. They ultimately chose the mother and daughter concept based on a story idea by Alexah S. Kim.

The film's main subject addresses the challenges of growing up within a Korean culture between parents and their children.

The hospital and detective scenes were shot in the lower floors of Westwood United Methodist Church.

This short film marks the second time Cameron Fay and Diep Tran have acted together. They previously worked together in a spec commercial for a contest.

Cameron Fay improvised the line, "Should I take my shoes off?," when he enters Melissa's mother's apartment.

This marks the second time Cameron Fay and Y.J. Gold starred in the same film but in this film, do not share any scenes. They previously acted on screen together in a Super Bowl commercial.

The red leather jacket January Lim wears in the party scene actually belongs to writer, Alexah S. Kim.

Due to the demanding, tight deadline and limited resources for production, director Billy Moon was close to giving up or make compromises with the story and cast to decrease the production's budget. However, co-writer Alexah S. Kim boldly encouraged and lovingly compelled him to see it through and make the film.

The necklace of the two leaves revealed in the police station scene was a birthday gift Melissa had given to her mother a couple years back, but shortly after receiving the gift, Melissa's mother lost it. Unbeknownst to Melissa, she didn't realize her mother found the necklace, and decided to wear it herself as the silver leaf represents her and the gold leaf represents her mother.

Stephanie Haney is the voice of the television reporter in the scene where Briony finds out that Melissa's mother was critically injured from a hit and run.

Billy Moon: Photo studio assistant wrapping up.

The 'voicemail' scene between Melissa and her mother in the bedroom was originally planned to have January Lim alone in the room and listen to her mother's final voicemail, but as a last minute decision, Billy Moon decided to shoot Vana Kim in the scene for a more abstract, emotional effect.

Melissa's mother was actually accidentally hit by her own car driven by Connor after he was fleeing from a violent drug deal. She compassionately allowed him to borrow her car numerous times since she was sympathetic to his shortcomings. Even though Melissa broke up with Connor months ago, Melissa's mother still allowed him to work for her at her dry cleaner store.
