The ghost of Brushy Bill Roberts visits his old friend Jasper Penny, convicting him of a promise he made years ago to set the record straight and get Billy the Kid the pardon he was promised in 1879 by Governor Lew Wallace.

Jasper Penny, 80's, was there when William Roberts, 'Brushy Bill Roberts', died at the age of 90 years old in the streets of Hico, Texas after being scorned in Santa Fe, New Mexico whereby he was seeking a pardon for the late Billy The Kid.
