In this episode, Mayor Winston and his wife are having problems. It seems that their marriage has been falling apart for a long time and it all come to a head when Helen, his wife, is extremely late for a dinner party. The Mayor has had enough and moves out of the mansion.

But the Mayor just cannot go check into a hotel, so he goes over to Mike's apartment for help. But the help is actually the Mayor moving into the apartment and taking over the entire place. Mike is looking for relief.

In another story, Stuart address his condo board about a problem that has arose. After he gets James to help with a speech, Stuart gets more than he bargained for, or could handle, all from a intense speech.

It seems that the writers are opening up for more stories that will let the Mayor's character expand. With the pending divorce, the writers can produce more story lines where more situation can be introduced. As we approach the end of season one, the comedy cast is getting familiar with viewers and a more comfortable flow is seen on the screen. This is another fine example of a nice comedy team that keeps the viewer interested in the script. Nice watch.
