Short summary
As the sheriff of a small western town, Autry sings his way into a relationship with Eleanor, a singer from a Chicago nightclub who earlier witnessed a murder.
Roy Rogers appears in this Gene Autry feature as one of the Sons of the Pioneers singing group. Better yet, he gets into a fight with Gene, which Gene wins, and then Roy yodels. Gene prophetically replies, "Keep singin'".
Just 16 months after this film was released, Roy Rogers, who appeared here as one of the Sons of the Pioneers, would star in his first feature Crépuscule (1938).
Film debut of Irene Manning (billed as "Hope Manning").
In Gene Autry's The Singing Cowboy (1936) of a year previously, Lon Chaney Jr. had played the lead villain. In this film he was reduced to playing a henchman.
