Short summary
A petty burglar sets a chain of events in motion when he steals some bullion that the owner hasn't declared to the authorities.
One of a series of second feature films based on Edgar Wallace novels, released between 1960 and 1965 in British cinemas. The films were later sold to American TV and screened there as The Edgar Wallace Mystery Theatre (1959).
The 'Maple Photography' office is in a building called 'Merton House'. This echoes the name of the production company, Merton Park Productions, responsible for this film and the others in the series of Edgar Wallace films.
