Marcus Preston, A.K.A Hitman, works for the Plymouth crime syndicate known only as 'The Boss'. When rival crime boss, Tom Dalton, is involved in the death of Hitman's wife, it becomes a personal vendetta of revenge for Hitman, which his boss does not want him to act on. Hitman crosses the line of no return and has a personal war against Dalton's crew, his boss, and his own family.

Production started in July 2003 with the intention to be finished by September the same year. But due to actor Brian Thomas being unavailable to complete his scenes, production had to be put on hold until he could return for an evenings filming before the film could finish. Eventually, filming wrapped in October 2004.

Christopher Fice filmed behind the scenes footage throughout the making of the film. The footage features on a 2 disc DVD.

The sequence towards the end of the film when Ray Harvey goes to collect the money for the killing of Hitman, was filmed on 2 different nights. The shots with the boss and his henchman were filmed first, but the actor playing Ray Harvey was unavailable, so his scenes had to be filmed a year later and then edited together to give the impression they were all there together.

This was the first film Andrew Dawe edited on computer. Prior to this, he had been editing on VHS machines. When editing was complete, the master copy was archived on VHS because the early DVD compression was so low it was thought best that VHS was the better option. Years later when DVD technology had improved, the VHS was transferred to DVD.

When Hitman is being shot to death by rival crew member Ray Harvey, a scene filmed but cut out had Ray Harvey pick up a knife from the table and stick it into Hitman's throat to finish him.
