Pete, a western cowboy, becomes interested in art and imagines that his sketches will make him famous. So they did, but not in the manner which he expected. The stage coach arrived and Pete noticed a young lady passenger of striking appearance, whom he proceeded to sketch. This the young woman resented and demanded that he destroy the drawing.
