» » Brett Gelman's Dinner in America (2016)

Short summary

Brett Gelman invites four African-American panelists to discuss racism in the United States.

On-screen, Tristan Mack Wilds notes the lack of diversity among the camera crew filming the panel. In a bit of metafictional irony, the special's actual leader of that crew, director of photography Noble Jones, is African-American.

Did you know this is the second time Shareeka Epps and Mack Wilds have worked together? Shareeka Epps and Mack Wilds were actually classmates in the 2006 feature film Half Nelson.

The summary essentially tells you everything that you need to know about this joke of a program. A show on Adult Swim being a joke isn't necessarily a bad thing, but this show is anything but funny. This show is absolute race-baiting cancer. If you want to watch a series surrounding the newest media craze "White Bashing", then give it a shot. You are this show's prime demographic. If that isn't your cup of tea, definitely pass. Clorox cocktail is a better alternative.

They canceled World Peace for stuff like this? Really? I wasn't a HUGE fan of that show but to can it for the likes of this is sickening. I think there are plenty of this type of media on television and on the internet. Do we really need more of this division? I don't...
