I am not a big time fan of watching movies of unknown faces, but this was by chance.I went to watch Aguntak by Satyajit Ray and stayed back to see the taste of relation. The name sounds like a romantic film but was a family drama and a mix a romance but, good part is it hold interest till the end.

Acting of all unknown faces were even better than well known faces from Bollywood now a days.More interesting was western songs with eastern performance. It clearly shows the vision of Director was very clear in making this film.

Technically the quality of film on screen looks very good and it was a good experience for me to try watching something different with more talents into it.

It was worth of watching this film. I will give a rating of 10 to this film.

Got to see this film in Inox in the Global Cinema-India and was impressed with the presentation of the film.

This film was played after Satyajit Ray's Aguntak and it hold interest for all the audience who were present, they stayed back till the end of this film and i can hear big claps at the end of the film.

The story was interesting which displayed various aspects of family life and was very well presented on the screen. The mix of western culture and eastern value was also very interesting.Director was successful in giving a good film to the audience.

The quality of picture was very good as i can see this was the only film in the festival which was shot on Red One.

Mukesh Asopa as lead reminds me of Shahrukh Khan in Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gam.His acting was outstanding specially the scenes with his grandmother,Kiran and his father.Kamal Nandi was the perfect cast for the role he played as well. All the actors were very good.

Based on the story this movie is slow but was very interesting and I will give a rating of 9 out of 10.

Very nice family drama, entertaining and inspiring towards family. The film portrays a big sacrifice but at the same time it conveys a lesson to young generation. All the actors were good and the sound tracks were unique and different. As an actor i liked the performance of Mukesh,Kamal,Aruna and Roya. The cinematography and editing looks very good. At some point the emotions are too loud but it maybe the requirement of the story. The young kids were very good as well. This film should get recognized in more festivals because of its rich quality. Goodluck to Mukesh and Team. I will give a rating of 9 to this film.

I saw this film in the Global Cinema in India.

One good things about this film was all the actors were very good.

After seeing this film i remember the old days film when we were able to get good family drama and good actors.

At one point tears came out because of the emotional scene when Raj does big sacrifice.

The post production work looks like very well done as well. I like few shots very much specially ones which are at night.

All the snow scenes were amazing as well.

The only thing missing was fight scenes in this film but it looks obvious as it was no where in the story and it is a very good family drama.

I will give a rating of 10 to this film.

Being a filmmaker from bollywood i was there in the festival to watch few best films of Raj Kapoor,Charlie Chaplin,Satyajit Ray and well known tamil films. The festival was really a great success. Now when i looked at this film it was interesting way of film making where actor director and producer is the same person and was able to make such a good feature film, it is amazing. The new trend in bollywood is the same where we see big stars like Aamir Khan,Shahrukh Khan,Ajay Devgan and Akshay Kumar they are doing exactly the same way they produce or co produce their own film where they act, Aamir khan and ajay devgan even directs the film where they are actor. What are the pros and cons ? Good part is director knows the shots he wants and as an actor he is confident to give the shot what he is looking as director.Bad thing is director will need a good assistant to look behind the camera how it looks like.

Seeing this film it seems that the crew was amazing. No doubt the hard work always presents the good work. All actors were very good and specially the young ones. This film deserves a 10 rating from me as being a filmmaker i can know how difficult it is to give such a good work to our respectful audience.

As i was invited by one of my fellow filmmaker friend i went to see Satyajit Ray film.I got to see this film as well and was impressed by the way it was presented to audience. It covers everything a family drama can cover whether it is Religious,Cultural,Drama,Family Values,Western Mix,Business,Love and sacrifice. The film moves very smooth with the songs in between which is amazing and entertaining.I specially liked the acting by young raj as he is so natural in the whole film.I think at few point it would have been better to use loud sound effects as we can see in TV episodes but i believe this being family drama based in America it was not the requirement. It seems a successful film making process as far as the quality of the film is there.Mukesh Asopa seems very experienced in acting and was very well supported by Kamal Nandi and his co actors which looks very much natural in the whole film.

Scope for improvement is always there but if we compare this film with other very big films screened in this festival this was an oustanding one.I will give a rating of 9 to this film.

Everyone here is writing about the best part of the film....but they forget what made it best....

The story is very interesting but the best part i liked about is the this line of the film A service to mankind......... your life.

Most part of the film holds audience interest which is very interesting and the flow of songs are very natural. It make sit look a very good drama which involves lots of value for family and lesson to young generation.

I am sure that the filmmaker must have studied the subject and the story in depth as it can be seen in every part of the film.

Overall it is a very good film and I will give a rating of 10 to this film.

I am a great fond of songs but was very sorry to hear a song by someone who cannot even pronounce the Hindi words properly,i could have done better job as singer. You should never try doing something which you cannot and it was very pathetic to hear a song by someone of Indian origin .Bad choice of Hindi songs. The rapper was good in his song as he did very well in his hip hop style of music which was real and natural in the film..Everyone watching the film liked that unique approach of the director.Actors could have given better performances.John was very good alongwith Raj and kamal's acting.Comedy actors were very good as well.Young raj and yashoda maa were very good too.Jennifer's part as Mrs Mittal and mother was very natural.Overall all the cast was very good and direction looks very nice as well.I can give a 9 to this film 0 to the Hindi songs. The film was good enough to bring tears in the eyes of audience which shows the success of the film as a family and emotional drama. The climax of the film could have been better but i think that was how the script was written.A suggestion to have better singer could have added to the film and its success.

I was there in India to see how this Global film festival is doing. It was nice but very long and hectic journey to fly from Los Angeles to India. But all worth after seeing some good films in the festival. It was a very good and huge festival even better than the one one we have here called Indian film festival LA.INOX was very good to screen all the movies. This was about the festival.I found few very good movies one by Satyajit Ray was amazing..... This film was screened right after Aguntak and so i was able to see this film and it worth watching as there were very good innovation applied in film making process.Cinematography,Acting, songs, direction, editing everything looks very much planned.

I will give a rating of 9 to this film and a 10 to Global Film Festival for showing us the best work from all over the world.

Got to see this movie just after Satyajit Ray's Aguntak at the Global Film Festival.Actually the introduction of the film itself was very interesting which hold my interest and I watch the whole film.

I should say one of the best film i watched in the festival.

All actors were very good in their part.

Songs of the film was good with mix of emotional acting.

The English soundtrack by the raper was very good and dance was performed well on the track.

The title song was very nice and melody.

I will give a rating of 10 to this movie.

This film is a fantastic example of what a Canadian movie can be - an amazing story, subtle yet powerful direction, and beautifully shot not to mention the stellar performances by both Canadian and Indian actors. A sincere joy to watch - cannot wait to see what comes next from this team.

It clearly shows in the film how hard the whole team had worked.Very much impressed with all the snow scenes and specially when Raj is in snow.Liked few specific shots in the boardroom and the bridge shots.Young kids were very good as well.Direction,Production and Acting was looks outstanding in this film.It can be a must watch film to see quality.

I will give a rating of 10 to this team.

I was there with few of my fellow film makers to watch all best films in the festival specially the ones by satyajit ray and offcoarse sivaji.Because we were there we watched few films from overseas and was very impressed by the taste of relation.Quality of film and acting was very good. All actors were very well casted and director was successful to addressa major issue of family in the film.Emotions were so natural and songs adds to the film.Few scenes in the office could have been better but i think they were written that way.Romantic scenes were well done by both the actors.Young kids were very good in their part.Overall i liked the film and it shows a very good creative work by a talented team.I will give a rating of 10 to this film and my best wishes for their next film.

This films sounds like something tasty but it created interest as if what it is talking about.Being a Canadian film definitely it is something interesting too.So decided to see this film on October 15th at Inox. The melody songs in the film were very good with western accent which was very good. The voice was really nice one. When we look at directors/writers and cinematography point of view as a drama it portrays a very good film with lots of importance to family and sacrifice towards parents. When it comes to Romantic moments between actor and actress it was very well done by both specially the kitchen scene and the park scenes. The song had melody and feeling both into it. Emotional acting by grandmother father and parents are very good as well.Young Kids were outstanding in their performance as well.Overall it looks like a challenging and a very successful project.I will give this film a rating of 10.

I had been part of the bollywood film industry quite a long time now and being into the panel of few well known festival had added to my profile for watching films from all over the world.I was there in the Global cinema festival in October-2009 and it was very well organized and thanks to the film federation of India to support the same.We got opportunity to watch good films. The taste of relation sounds like a tasty dish, but it had lots of tasty meanings in the story itself.Very well written. When i saw director and actors profile I was very impressed to see Mukesh Asopa as an actor director and producer, why not overall he is the student of Acting Guru of India who gave most successful actor of the bollywood history shahrukh khan. When we goes back to the flow of songs in the film it was another good work and very well done. Not even a single moment i felt like i am watching a film which is boring me or is not going anywhere.I will be looking forward for some more great work from Mukesh Asopa and team.I will give rating of 9 as well.

I got the chance like my fellow film makers to watch this film in Inox.It was interesting how a film like this can be made in the western country but it was impressive and the credit goes to the director of the film.Cinematography and editing looks very good. All actors were very well placed in their part and were successful in having their character established in the film.Songs of the film were very nice with a different kind of mix which was amazing. It clearly reveals that a very good work was presented here and all my fellow filmmaker friends liked the film.Western culture and family values was very well compared with eastern culture and family values. It looks like a very purposefull film making.

Got to see this film in festival in Inox.I loved the acting of Raj,Kiran and Ram.Catherine was very good in music video and rapper looks very good. The film gives a great lesson about how children goes away from their parents when they grew up and the same is not for everone.Sacrifice, love, affection and education in this film was very good.Tears comes out at the end of the film and immediately i went to meet my father and hugged him.Songs were concern as they were not well sung and got lots of accent, i mean too much were in English accent. If it would have been in Hindi it may be even better.Overall this film was one of the best films i watched in the festival and will give a 9 rating to this film.

The Taste Of Relation as the name depicts... It reflects all the moral values and guide us to be a better person. Sometimes in busy scheduled life we misbehave with our parents which is totally wrong on our part. We as a youth generation have lot to learn from this movie. As a viewer I would like to comment about Raj and Ram Mittal...they had a great chemistry on screen .They portrayed their characters very well. Its is a simple story but when you watch it you will portray yourself as one of the character of the story. well I bought it from amazon.com...so i guess you too can go ahead .I advise that all the viewers should watch it to learn the taste of Indian culture.I wish i could just visit this place once. WATCH IT AND YOU WILL LOVE IT!!!!

I absolutely adore this movie. I watched it on DVD with my Indian friend and first of all fell IN LOVE with Mukesh Asopa. Not even the bootleg tape I had could hide his beauty. I think I watched the movie 3 times in one week! Seeing as how the film is 1 1/2 hours long, that's saying a lot.

John is also a pleasant diversion on screen. Kiran character was a lot of fun too. It's nice to see a girl with spunk trying to get her man! Nearly all of the songs and choreography were stellar. I will most definitely recommend to please go and buy this one.

Like some of the other reviewers mentioned, there is definitely some over-acting but those few moments of suffering are rewarded with a variety of eye-candy. This film is definitely worth watching.

Excellent movie...simple story. I loved watching this movie. Love, respect, kind gesture which we always forget to show to our loved onces can be seen and felt in abundance in this movie. My favorite characters were Raj,Ram,Jenifer and Kiran. They all really looked great as a pair.I wish to see them again in near future. Catherine arrogant attitude was the part I liked as it reflects some part of my daughter's nature...My family learnt a lot from this movie. The film makers should continue making this type of family drama as it brings us close to the realities of our life. I was forced to buy this DVD online by my wife but now don't regret it. Watch this movie with your family only!!!
