"The Lovely" a film starring Emma Harvey and Tina McRae, shows through laughter and tears that things aren't always what they seem. Alice Sterns (played by Emma Harvey) is not only the new Teen Miss Alabama, and soon to be Teen Miss USA, but she is also a celebrity in the small town of Maskacola, Alabama. Daisied by parade floates and town keys Alice is beyond smothered. Mary Shea (played by Tina McRae), the invisible girl at school, decides to create a movie exploiting Alice and the beauty pageant industry for a local Film contest. To execute this, Mary tells Alice she is making a documentary on how to become a pageant queen, and asks if she could help. Alice, seeing it as her Miss Alabama duty to do such acts of charity, accepts. However, Mary is in for a surprise as she unfolds the truths behind the seemingly perfect Alice Sterns.
