The goal of this film is to materialize and therefore humanize a forum post about a personal conflict regarding a significant other. The style is an expanded version of David Hockney's 'cubist movie,' Seven Yorkshire Landscape Videos. With cubism in mind I set up four cameras of different qualities from different eras: a Flip Video Camera, a DSLR with a wide-angle lens, and two iPhones. The subject, who in reality is only communicating via written language in the Description section of the forum post, expresses his confusion, his sadness, and his muted anger in every shifting frame. The story itself, a subtly complicated and overwhelming dilemma, leaves the viewer with nothing but a question.
