Short summary

Raji and Terry spot a plane with engine trouble and race to the spot where it crashed. They find the injured pilot hanging from his parachute in a tree and cut him down. The rescued man turns out to be a diamond smuggler with an injured leg and a big gun who forces the teenagers to carry him into the Himalayas and away from police pursuit.

When his plane starts smoking over India, nefarious pilot Nehemiah Persoff (as Lansing) parachutes to relative safety. He lands in a tree and is discovered by Terry (Jay North) and Raji (Sajid Khan). The teenagers and Maya the elephant are taken hostage by the murderous diamond thief, who is being tracked by police. This is very much Mr. Persoff's episode. The guest appearing TV veteran is, as you'll see, a cold-blooded killer. His handling of a pitch-fork wielding peasant is memorable. The villain is, unfortunately, one dimensional. It's difficult to believe Terry and Raji don't put more effort in overcoming their wounded abductor. During one incident, they should have insisted he give up his guns. Persoff's attempts to kill Terry or Raji are likewise half-hearted.
