The script is only one page in length. During production, Josh Badham and Brian Rider coined the term "one-pager".

The film is a spin-off to one of Josh Badham and Brian Rider's early attempts at filmmaking.

Albert Armendariz's line "Do you work for the Men In Black?" was ad-libbed. The original line was "How's your wife?".

As a last minute decision, Antoine Richardson's voice was deepened in post production.

With the absence of a beginning and an ending, No Dice forces viewers to indulge in their imagination to fill in the missing pieces of the puzzle, making the film the viewer's own interpretation.

In late 2009, the film made its big screen debut at the Anthology Film Archives theatre in New York City.

The film was produced without a budget. The only cost added into the film's overall budget was the price of the camera used to film. All other aspects, such as locations, props, and costumes, were available to the filmmakers.
