On a bleak London housing estate, teen sci-fi fan Brendan skips school to look after his seriously ill mother.

Another Day tells the story of Brendan, a young sci-fi fan who deals with his mother's debilitating illness by retreating into an imaginary fantasy world. The film shows Brendan skipping off school for the day and wondering around London, scavenging for food and meeting with a homeless friend of his - but why is he doing all this? Because in a derelict flat in a run-down housing estate, there is shipwrecked alien that Brendan has promised to nurse back to health, in return, the alien helps Brendan to cure his mother. But is the alien real or just another figment of Brendan's imagination?
