A rough but amusing one-reel comedy from Itala studio. The premise is that the bride's mother can't bear to be separated from her daughter on the younger woman's wedding night -- and the bride and groom definitely wish to be alone. The piece is structured as a series of increasingly powerful iterations on a theme of trying to get away from mama -- the sort of thing that Tex Avery was doing thirty-five years later in KING-SIZED CANARY.

Still, this effort is pleasant, the final gag is a good topper that raised a few guffaws in the tough Museum of Modern Art audience -- including me -- and if you get a chance to see this with an interested audience, you will probably enjoy it.
