"This is our movie-our Telugu movie. This is our pride. This is the creation happened with the cognizance of our Telugu director"…would be the feel of every Telugu film lover while watching this film.

Words wouldn't suffice to explain the experience of technical extravaganza depicted in this film. It's just spellbinding. The range of Telugu film has gone to a higher plane with this film. The maker Rajamouli and producer Aravind should be appreciated unconditionally. And kudos would go to the technical team that has kept its brilliance to make this movie a wonder.

Keeping the first 44 minutes away the rest of the movie arrests the audiences completely. The first 44 minutes would literally keep the pulse of audiences down and confused.

The real tempo starts as soon as the completion of the song 'Naakosam Nuvvu' The momentum develops with the first horse riding scene of Ram Charan chasing a bus. The interval scene hooks the audiences with lot of enthusiasm for sure. And the audiences can never turn their head and blink eye lid from then till climax.

And the audiences come out from theater with the experience of a roller-coaster ride, with the sound reverberating in hearts, with a heavy hangover of watching a new facet of Telugu cinema.

The film proves to a historical one with respect to patronage of audiences of all classes.

Sometimes you feel you should be the first one to review a movie so to share and enjoy the applause that it gets later on. Magadheera is just of that kind. I was amazed and thrilled by the way the movie starts over that deep valley. Some say the movie lets you down in the next half an hour but I suspect that was a ploy by the director. Reason simple, if it was the other way, it would have ended up being an overdose. A mediocre 30-40 minutes with an undercurrent indication to the flash back opened up doors to what is undoubtedly the best achievement in Telugu cinema in movies of this Genre.

Awesome is what I had in my mind leaving to the interval break. Rarely does one feel the break time in Indian cinema is not needed and this happens to be one such occasion. Second half started the roller-coaster ride. You see all the effort that the technicians had put in the movie. While songs are not at their best while listening, they were much better on picture. Dheera Dhreera song should be one of the best pictured songs in Telugu cinema. Charan has a long way to go but there are a few areas where he needs to work out a lot. But well.. for someone in his very second movie, he seems to had put extraordinary effort for this outcome. A pat on back for Rajamouli too.

Some scenes of the movie will haunt you for a long time. The starting scene and the scene where the horse (Badshah) comes back to rescue Charan. The horse chase sequences leading to scene are also superbly pictured. In spite of some obvious logical errors, I felt utterly satisfied for a Telugu movie after a long time. Hard work pays off.

PS: Rarely (sad but true! ) we'll get chance to take our non-Telugu colleagues to a Telugu movie and feel proud. Make the most of it with Magadheera. Let all know that our industry can make the best of the best.

Well, What can i say...This is what I expect from Movies : Total Entertainment. The movie has all the good stuff about western epics, Chinese epics, but the HEART of the movie is Indian.

The director has done well to get inspired by the good things about international movies and he has added his own unique Indian touch to it.

Basically, the movie is an amazing Love Epic set against a majestic background.

I rarely watch south Indian movies, but this movie is way better than Jodha Akbar, Gladiator, Mughal-E-Azam!!! I think that says it all.

Ram Charan Teja is Megastar material. Kajal Aggarwal is also very apt for the role. Songs are wonderful. Background Music is Perfect.

All in all : The Perfect Indian Epic. A movie that you should not miss in this lifetime.

Basically i am north Indian and i mostly see Bollywood movie and a common north Indian think that south industries they can only make action movie. before two year i started to see south Indian movie from Bommarillu and than i became a huge fan of this industries honestly they not just maintain there story with there tradition emotion and all. I have seen historical movie b4 like troy gladiator patriot Alexander Jodha Akbar Veer but this movie is mind-blowing basically for youth and young generation So i am going to say that Tollywood can too ahead from Bollywood and i fill proud to be that they can made movie like this. specially thanks to S.S.Rajamouli and Vijayendra Prasad for there super-work with minimum facility's & scope in India. i am waiting for there forthcoming movie. My Rating 10/10..super.

"Magadheera" is an indigenous product from our own very soil with significant portion of the plot inspired by bedtime tales of taatayya/ naanamma/ ammama and presented on screen at a lavish scale bench-marked by likes of "Gladiator"/ "300". Without an iota of doubt, "Magadheera" is a praise- worthy effort for the top-class CGI's that transports the audience straight into the period era. Next to CGI I am afraid everything comes to a grinding halt. The entire team seems to have been obsessed with over-the-top production values that nobody bothered to tap even a single shoulder and ask "Where is the plot heading dude?". It would be an understatement to mention the writing has holes as the proceedings give an impression that the impromptu scribbling act was attempted on the set a few minutes before the shot was canned. The editor I am sure made a silent prayer with every stitch that logic remains unquestioned by the audience. Songs by Keeravani don't quite rise upto the expectations. The action sequences are well executed though.

Ѻ Kajal Agarwal:: The new poster-girl on the block, thanks to the good looks. It was evident that she attempts to cover up her acting skills with her coy expressions. Undoubtedly Ms. Kajal is good as "Indira" but sadly a misfit to pull-off the regal character of "Yuvarani Mitravinda Devi". On that note, perhaps there was a good opportunity for heroine #2 to stage an entry (on the lines of every papa Chiranjeevi's movie).

Ѻ Rao Ramesh:: Brings in the stage-like performance coupled with his makeup, gait and hissing dialogue delivery to breathe life into the character of "Aghora".

Ѻ Mumait Khan:: Attempts to displace "Disco Shanti" in the garb of "Bangaru Kodi Petta" remix. On behalf of the fans of the original version, do I need to spell the word "foul"?

Ѻ Suneel & Brahmanandam were merely a force-fit into the storyline. The appalling act in the name of comedy was easily dispensable.

Ѻ Kim Sharma:: Her item song was clearly a force-fit.

Ѻ Dev Gill:: Has got what is takes to breathe a menacingly evil re- incarnate into life. Stands out clearly and now that Sonu Sood has found glory in his own hamlet, perhaps Dev Gill should consider filling in his shoes.

Ѻ Sarathbabu:: Though a short role but effortlessly essayed.

Ѻ Srihari:: Again the writing is at lowest ebb with regards to fleshing out the character of "Sher Khan/ Solomon". Dropping straight into the climax out-of-the-blue is cinematic liberties at its best.

Ѻ Chiranjeevi:: Reprises his persona of mega-star with his signature style, signature dialogues and signature mannerism in a cameo which can be best described as "There you go son, my fan-base is now all yours. Entice them!". Encapsulating father-son in the same screen space is nothing more than a Kodak moment.

And finally about....

Ѻ Ram Charan Teja:: Every heir to a legacy wishes for a wand which could make the comparison go away and magically exceeds expectations. If such did exist I am sure Chiranjeevi Junior would have been the highest bidder. Under the garb of technical brilliance everything gets pushed under the carpet, which includes his performance. Chiru's fans might be benevolent this time and a few times more, but in order to stay in business he needs to build his own army of loyal soldiers. Ram Charan Teja clearly has miles to go before papa can sleep.

I just watched the whole movie even without going bathroom. It was really a hell of a movie. I haven't seen anything like in Indian film history. I am from kerala and usually i don't like Telugu films except allu arjuns movies. I don't know Telugu language but even then also i really enjoyed a lot. Kudos to the team of this movie. And i am now a fan of ram charan teja.the start of the movie was surprising but after 10 minutes it changed to different. But the first 15 minutes seemed little bit boring to me. I mean very very little. the love scenes between ram and kajal was very beautiful. And i literally had goosebumps on the scene where teja chase the bus in a horse. Songs were good. The real excitement begins after the interval. From there the movie is like, like? i cant describe it in words. The 100 men fight scene was excellent though its inspired from 300 which is also my one of favourite movies. All in all this is something special!!!

The movie is a complete entertainer with some extraordinary dance moves by Ram charan and locations and action sequences!! The very first scene of the movie shows The warrior KALA BHAIRAVA(Ram charan) lose his love Mitra Veda(Kajal Aggarwal) in the year 1609. Rest of the first half of the movie shows how both of them meet after their rebirth i.e in their present year...with the very first 20 mins of the movie having the most awaited music video BANGARU KODI PETTA.. showing some exhilarating dance moves...the first have moves quite slowly with not too many comedy scenes...but the 2nd half of the movie is where the adrenaline starts to rush!! most of the 2nd part displays the character of KALA BHAIRAVA and MITRA VEDA and how they fall in love.It also shows how great a warrior was Bhairava..this is where the real talents of the actors, technicians and the director. Locations are to just die for during the race between Bhairava and Ramdev(Dev Gill). The Technicians deserve an ovation for the excellent work.

The only not-so-good scene in the movie was the sumo crashing into the helicopter,which led to a little disappointment in the end... On the whole the movie was an absolute splendour and a must watch!!

I should say that the Tollywood went too far with this film..

Hats off to Rajamouli..what a great director and a great imagination his direction values are growing with each movie... i am a fan of his films starting from youthful SYE to Magadheera.. and congrats Ramcharan Teja-- amazing performance and macho man.. i really couldn't believe he did this much of action sequences and fights and dance just in his second movie...great! And Kajal was pretty as prince..also as a modern naughty girl. villain performance suits very well with hero.

The Maximum credit goes to visual effects....Fortress and its symbol..the white field for white...and the Shiva's idle..the whole Bhairava Kona was spectacular..Hats off to those who strive hard for these.. and another thing is Dance- Bangaru Kodi Petta- Spell binding.

NEGATIVE ASPECTS- no comedy at all...at least not a bit satisfied me.. Brahmanandam became a mere waste..Suneel was just OK.

IMPRESSION- every Telugu person should watch for his own pride

When you are going to any S.S. Rajamouli movie..you always have a feeling that rarely he lets the audience down...right from Student no.1 to Chatrapthi to Simhadri or Yamadonga he always makes sure he provides a movie which hangs on to you for a while..well Magadheera is much more than that and arguably is best work by SS.Rajamouli so far..

Why do I say the previous line? The visuals,action sequences,romance,songs everything about this movie is really engaging and even the story though being simple makes you involve in it and during the scene where the hero dives down the mountain after the heroine..you feel your heart dropping too...and not just that scene but many others. Kajal is convincing as a bubbly girl who was a princess in her last birth..and it didn't feel that she was just a showpiece in the movie..Srihari had a brief but impacting roles of sher khan and Solomon..Chiru's guest appearance was kinda disappointing for me as I was hoping I would get to see him dance which didn't happen..but the person we definitely need to talk about here is Ram Charan the hero of the movie...Ram Charan has improved his acting by miles...compared to Chirutha..and has really proved that he can handle acting well...It seemed as if the role was written for him and no other actor would suit this role. the risky horse riding shots..the fight sequences...the sword fighting...everything was performed with ease by Ram Charan..

with good performances by the actors..and a visually stunning movie..and Rajamouli style of story telling...Magadheera would easily become one of the best movies of 2009 ..specially some sequences like fight sequence near Shiva statue...Udaygadh visual beauty...the sets used..the graphics...the concept...the opening scene..are first time ever in Telugu film industry...I give it 8/10 and its definitely worth a watch..

I watched this movie at Cinemax...first day first Show....Really this picture deserves a 9/10 and with no doubt...Each and every aspect of the movie is good and director SS Rajmouli has taken good care of the technical aspect which was outstanding in Telugu Cinema after Arundhati.......and i fell like this movie should be in Hindi, English also and........ 9 REASONS WHY THIS MOVIE SHOULD BE WATCHED: 1. Songs are Excellent 2. Bike Chasings and Stunts. 3. Kajal Agarwal- Right choice for the role and did justice to the role. 4. Dialogue delivery by Charan - reminds in some parts like Chiru. 5. Excellent performance by Srihari. 6. Special Mention for the Scene where Charan kills 100 Soilders. 7. Spell blinding technical aspects..where good care is taken for each and every take. 8. Cameo role by Chiru 9. Horse Racing, Sword fighting and good action Sequences.

The Senadhipathi Randheer (Dev Gil) lusts on Yuvarani Mitravinda (Kajal) but the latter loves Kalabhirava. That results in a huge battle between Randheer and Kalabhairava which puts end for their lives. Sher Khan (Sri Hari), the Muslim invader witnesses the valor and love of Kalabhairava and salutes to him.

They take rebirth as Harsha and Indu. And many characters from the past also come to present with the soul connectivity. But where? What happens to them? How the past life matters for them in present life? That has to be watched on big screen to experience the marvelous treat along with unleashing those queries This is a must-watch movie for several reasons including the bike adventure, the set of Udaygarh, the background score, songs like Cheppinder Cheppake, Bangarulodi Pettu and the battle between Bhairava and Sher Khan's soldier.

Magadheera is one of the best movie ever on Tollywood silver screen the technical crew made its excellence.The way of presentation from the director made it go on the top.worth watching....

Analysis: Opening episode of the movie is superb. First half of the movie is nice and second half is decent. The tempo goes down right after the flashback episode as it's everybody's guess that what follows is a predictable climax. The plus points of the movie are Ram Charan Teja, novel subject of rebirth, flashback episode, grandeur and commercial pay offs. On the flip side, there is tremendous scope for improvement in the second half. On a whole, Magadheera might not be a great film. But it is a good entertainer with nicely packed commercial elements and grandeur. Go and watch it in a theater near you with nice projection and good sound system.

Tailpiece: There is uncanny resemblance to Arundhati and Magadheera stories. Both these films are about incarnations. Both these movies have Aghora episodes. And villain lusts heroine and that forms the central conflict point in both these movies.

I am a gujarati. This is perhaps the first telegu movie which i have seen. But, I am sure this won't be the last. Such is the effect this movie produces.

This is a movie that shall stand the test of time. It has super visuals, great acting and good music (music reminds us of Chinese warrior epic movies). Ram charan Teja and Kajal are the heart of this movie. Both have given powerhouse performances. One cannot imagine any other actors for the role of Bhairav and her lover princess.

If these type of films are continued to be made in South India than soon entire India will watch dubbed southern movies in Hindi ( just like dubbed movies of Hollywood).

The movie is basically a love story of a loyal warrior. The male and female lead have done a wonderful job.

The direction is amazing. The action is refreshing. The songs are good.

These are how epics are supposed to be made. The movie is a wonderful showcase for our culture.

I hardly watch Telugu or Tamil MOVIES because of their greasy screenplay and dialogs. Over cooked action sequences and too stupid comedy. My friend Kumar recommended me to watch this movie but I didn't count on it on that time. After his lots of persuasion I watched it and I was literary surprised, dazzled and entertained. I wasn't expecting that I will like it to such great height.

Magadheera might have old school story and concept but it is refreshing and stupendous because of very good direction by S.S Rajamouli, great Cinematography, Art Direction 'the marvelous sets of Udaigarh and costumes' was commendable, good Visual Effects, Action Sequences were breath-taking and nail biting especially "the war sequence between Bhairava and Sher Khan's soldiers"-this is the HIGH POINT of the movie" and not forgetting about acting of Ram Charan and Kajal Agarwal. Ram Charan was the show stealer. Looked cool and cute as a lover boy and vigorous & valor as Bhairava the Warrior. Kajal Agarwal was equally good in her role. The music was extremely well. Pleasing to hear, ironically I can't get any lyrics as Movie is in Telugu but still two songs are my favorite because of their rhythm and music. The Background Score is also justifying.

Overall a great movie with all elements in it. Very entertaining indeed. Ram Charan lives up his father's reputation "Chiranjiv". A definitely MUST WATCH movie. If some unnecessary scenes, one and two songs in the 2nd half had been skipped and more Editing had been done making the movie little bit short and more crispier then it would have been a PERFECT 10/10.

Although I am a north Indian but I am fan of South Indian movies. As I watched Magadheera for the first time, I turned crazy. I was having the original Telugu version of the movie with subtitles in English language. I watched the whole movie more than 10 time in the next three days. The movie is an excellent work having perfect cinematography, a very strong and audience-bounding fluent story line, melodious songs, Highly appreciable choreography. The story has been backbone for the film that provided the scope for the action, drama and romance and the director has excelled all the field. Director Rajamouli has done complete justice with the movie in the technical field.

OK..so like my title ...this is what I have to say about the movie. This is THE BEST movie I have ever seen . And not because of its amazing storyline, visuals and direction, all of which are splendid btw, but because of what it does and achieves in the history of Indian cinema. Now I'm not Telugu and sure I watched this movie with subtitles, but never the less I'm ecstatic and so proud that this movie was conceived and made in India. It sets up a different standard all together. I completely disagree with people who say that the special affects are a lift off from Hollywood movies because sure a couple of scenes might be influenced, but other than those the ingenuity shown by the screenwriter and director in every scene is spellbinding. I think this movie is the best visual treat I have ever experienced and this includes all the amazing Hollywood movies I've seen as well. Yes, the visuals, the smartness and detailing in ever scene is so unique and intelligent that it surpasses even the best of Hollywood. Maybe, it is the fact that this story is about your people that makes it more relatable, but neways this is surely THe MOVIe for me. There are so many more things That I can say about it but this should be sufficient. So just go ahead and indulge ur senses and see Indian Cinema make its mark and affect you in the most splendid way...!!!

Different movie compared to the run of the mill love stories currently - This has Ramcharan and Kajal playing lovers in 2 different eras. When I heard initially that it would be a rebirth story, I felt nostalgic about how it would shape up but seeing the movie made me completely reverse my opinions.

The story starts impressively with Ramcharan (as Kaala Bhairava) and Kajal the princess talking in their dying moments. They are reborn as Harsha and Indhu. Read many comments that the next 30 Min's to 1 hour in the new world is boring, but the pair's bubbliness makes that enjoyable too. I would have loved Chiranjeevi to have done something different though. I always enjoyed the spontaneousness and effortless dance of Chiranjeevi and hence seeing Ramcharan dance was little bit anticlimax. The steps were great and he is a fabulous dancer, but you get a feeling that he is trying too hard to get the tough steps correctly which shouldn't be how dances are pictured :). The villain does great job of his part and deserves the brickbats he receives :). Rebirth - Special effects on Ramcharan touching Kajal's fingers can be termed as cinematic liberty though some of the sequences like jumping off the rooftop to reach helicopter and the final sumo bouncing to reach the helicopter are definitely aberrations that could have been avoided.

Two scenes that highlight the entire movie are with Ramcharan as the warrior getting saved by his horse and the other one where he fights 100 Sher khan's soldier's single-handedly (reminiscent of the movie 300 with narrow passage and the fights that take place). Sheer brilliance !!!

Songs gel with the movie and hence are better viewed than listened, at least for the first few times. Overall a great movie that is thoroughly enjoyable even for viewing multiple times. And by the way, you can view it even if you don't understand Telugu and still be able to grasp the movie fully so do give it a try :)

This film really had the potential but fell short due to a lot of issues. First of all the graphics are pretty good for a telugu movie but there is obviously scope for improvement and it will come in time but that does not take away the hardwork and boldness on part of the director/producer to bring such standards to telugu movies. Apart from that the story is drawn from a standard rebirth tale that has been narrated in many movies. Performance of charan is average (esp. dialouge delivery), The way his character remembers its past life is pretty naive, some more time could have been spent on that, and how does the heroine believe the guy loves her without knowing her?. the whole chopper episode is a bit confusing(its supposed to go to a hospital, but goes to Vizag and then Rajasthan!!!), Cheap stunts (bike, lighting fire with foot), Unnecessary scene and senseless dialouges with chiru(for the masses i guess), Fight sequences in killing 100men are repetitive with hero just standing there and slashing his sword for most of the time, It could have been made a bit more interesting with some intelligent moves, The whole concept of planets lining up and (meteor crash!!) could have been shown differently (the animation shown in the sky is hilarious).

On a positive note the chariot race episode, chemistry between the lead pair, dialouges, music and depiction of actress Kajal are good. As far as special effects are concerned this is just the beginning and the standards will improve as the demand will increase in coming years. Overall there is entertainment, good visuals and hence commercial value

Telugu film industry may not be 400 years old but it took just 40 years for the current generation movie producers, actors and directors to ruin it since it has been moved from Chennai to Hyderabad. The same 'ol hype and the same 'ol reception by the avid telugu movie fans. I admit that there is potential but this movie is just another polished turd. The story is just awful. Why would any king arrange idiotic battle games amidst of war? What's all the hype about the lead character? The way charan killed the 100 best Khan's men reminded me of 300, another awful movie. Telugu movies keep defying gravity, logic and common sense. Charan can't even deliver a dialogue without stuttering. Storyline is full of holes. Some scenes are done beautifully but on a whole, the movie is a pain to watch.

3 more hours of my life that I can never get back.

While I was on a long local bus ride in Cambodia, the driver decided to play this movie for the passengers. In the beginning I was totally uninterested and not really paying attention, since I misjudged this as something overly sentimental and cheap. But gradually I got pulled into the epic and beautiful story.

This movie just has it all: a sense of history, a sense of wonder, spiritualism, action, romance, humor, music and dance. There is room for many different moods, which follow each other in a very natural way. Almost unknown in the self-centered West, I think this movie deserves way more praise.

The story happens in the year 1609. Kala Bhairava (Ram Charan Teja) is the protector/chief guard of Udayghad kingdom. Mitra (Kajal Agarwal) – the heir princess is in love with him. But there is a bad relative of the king who wants to marry her. Sher Khan (Srihari) plans to invade Udayghad. In the process ensued, all of them die. These four people take rebirth after 400 years in the contemporary era.

Ram Charan's performance in his debut film Chiruta is like a show reel of what he is capable of doing. In this movie, he gets an opportunity to do some real good performance and he performs them convincingly with effortless ease. And he had gone through tremendous physical toil in this film as it involves horse riding, sword fighting, dances and many more. His dance in Bangaru Kodipetta after the completion of Chiranjeevi's appearance is stunning. He is gifted with a good voice and he should fine tune it further to come up with pristine Telugu diction.

Story of the movie is about rebirths. Rajamouli opened the movie by revealing the story right in the first episode. The challenge lies in Rajamouli's handling of telling the story interestingly to the audiences though audiences know what he is going to narrate. Screenplay of the movie is good and the Rajamouli trade mark commercial paybacks are nicely inserted at regular intervals.

Rajamouli should be appreciated for giving due credit to all his technicians by dedicating a full-song to them during the end titles of the movie. Watching that was fun. Background music (a combined effort of Keeravani and Kalyani Malik) is excellent. Cinematography by Senthil Kumar is very good. It is extremely difficult to recreate the era of 400 years old and art direction by Ravinder is splendid. Fights composed by Peter Hynes are excellent.

TAILPIECE: There is uncanny resemblance to Arundhati and Magadheera stories. Both these films are about incarnations. Both these movies have aghora episodes. And villain lusts heroine and that forms the central conflict point in both these movies.

I have heard a lot about this film, even though i didn't know Telugu. So as soon as i got the chance to watch this film , i saw it and was stunned. Though it is basically a remake of the Jackie Chan starrer film San wa (The Myth) it is far better than the original. Actually what the director did was that he used all the usual Telugu movie clichés and raised his film into an extraordinary visual treat...

The computer graphics used in this film is one of the best i have seen in Indian screen. The artwork and visuals of Udhaigar was mind blowing. I thought that i was watching an English Movie. But there were some scenes were the graphics looked very ordinary especially in the modern day scenes.

The story was pretty effective in Indian Screen. As for we are related to the reincarnation theme.

Ram Charan Teja looked too good for a 2 movie old star. Kajal Agarwal was also perfect.

Srihari did a wonderful job. As far as i'm concerned he is the show stealer.

The music is one thing that let me down though the background score and the Udhaigar song was awesome...

What an amazing movie!!! The Telugu movie world is making history in Indian cinema. I am not much a fan of Telugu movies. But this one... I have no words to explain... was fantastic. It really impressed me. Music, action, romance, dance, special effects everything was perfect. The first item song was the only thing which was a little bit boring as far as the rest of the movie is considered. Ram Charan Theja is perfect for his role as Bhairava and he did it well. Fight scenes are absolutely overwhelming. The scene where hero chases the bus with a horse will really give you goose bumps. I must say bollywood has to learn a lot from Tollywood. If u compare Jodha Akbar and Magadheera, just looking at the fight scenes u can feel the difference. Jodha Akbar is a total waste of time and money. Overall, Magadheera is a must watch movie for all kind of viewers. It is a new epic in Indian film history.

I would rate this movie 9 outta 10 if not more... Its the best telgu movie I havge ever see. awesome songs and great this character is perfect for Ram Charan...great direction by Jakkanna....
