Short summary

FIREBALL RUN: The Movie is one epic GAME starting in Baton Rouge, Louisiana and finishing in Grand Rapids, Michigan. For 9 days, through 18 cities, spanning 3500 miles teams from everywhere must solve clues and accomplish missions in order to navigate America and score. Then its machine vs machine on some of the country's most challenging race tracks. All while aiding in the nations largest recovery effort for missing children.

2008 FIREBALL RUN Transcontinental Rally is the only rally to race on the State Police track in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.

The rally saw its first 18 Wheeler entry... yes he did it "with" the trailer attached.

Louisiana Secretary of State, Jay Dardenne (R), and Baton Rouge Mayor, Kip Holden (D), did an impromptu rendition of Ebony & Ivory at the event's starting line.

Fireball Run Transcontinental Rally's Early Arrival Mixer was held inside the Louisiana State Capitol building and is the only motor-sports event to have been granted this honor.

Infamous Pastor, Jimmy Swaggart was originally scheduled to appear at the "Delta Music Museum" mission in Ferriday, Louisiana. However this did not happen because the Pastor was "unclear" about how his name would associate with the event.

Several Movie Cars entered the event; Back to the Future II Time Car, K.I.T.T., and a Firebird as seen in Smokey & the Bandit. In keeping with the theme a competitor wrapped his Bentley Flying Spur to look like the General Lee.

Jackson Mississippi, Mayor Frank Melton, is the only Host City Mayor not to appear in the 2008 event; he was indicted on civil rights charges the morning of the events start in the city.

The 2008 rally was the last to use the original "Transcontinental" moniker in its title.

The 2008 rally was themed Eighties Sequels, thus all the rally promotional posters were knockoffs of 1980 movie sequels; Back to the Future II, Caddy Shack II, and Star Trek II.

Two classic Lamborghini Countach's entered the rally, although one did not make it off the starting line and was immediately substituted by its owner for a Jaguar.

This movie will bring a tear to your eyes. Everyone should buy it and watch it. Finding missing kids should be on every bodies agenda, but since it's not, these men and women take their time to look for America's Missing Children in a rally to top all other rally's. Making the Fireball Run Adventurally the world's largest child recovery program 8 days out of every year. Look for all of the Fireball Run movies. J. Sanchez and his team of crazy, wacky, Fireballers, travel from one end of the US to the other passing out thousands of missing children fliers. To date their efforts have aided to the recover and return of 38 missing children. While traveling across the nation, Fireballers will experience things that no one in the world would ever be allowed, no matter how rich they are. They will experience, see, and do, the things that others don't even know exist. The only way to describe it is be in it. But if you can't, this movie is the next best thing.
