From the moment I saw the trailer I was exited to see what The Resident had to offer ( nice cut scenes ohh ) . The pilot was no big deal it's just a pilot (yea it was bad) . They can always chance something anything that we see in the pilot (make that your thing and chance everything else) . Episode two can shows a sitcoms direction from the writers point of views and build their foundation ( I see heavy drinking was involved maybe some MJ too idk. I have to ask you all. Do you all even read what you write or just copy pasta bam it's a show now pay me? ) . Episode one (The Pilot) had me with in the first 4 minutes ( Drama, a villain, a staff who was playing on their phones but at the end of our scene a well discipline staff. Even catching what our villain missed himself ) In the first 4 min they had a better plot then what they released both the rest of pilot and episode two. All I can think is ER (main dish) smashed with Scrubs ( IDK maybe it's a two plate special) with a slice of House (they never tell it's this small until you pay for it) . They made this show just like waiting at a real ER just plain boring. At least you can watch this to make you fall asleep. Doctors orders watch 10 min of this and you will sleep the entire night. Repeat as needed. Just dvr one episode no reason to waste space when so much to watch.

The pilot for The Resident was actually decent (despite some negative reviews online) but this episode set the show back and let us know it will be exactly like every other medical drama. From the post-work drinks at the bar, to the fake shouting matches, this hit every cliche.

I want the show to be something different, but now I am worried it won't be.
