Short summary

Two talented, but struggling musicians live in a Bavarian village. Toni writes the music and Edi the lyrics. They make a demo disk, and then get work as stage hands in a big-city theatre. They get to perform one of their songs, but leave in despondency and work in a crummy circus. Meanwhile Toni's delectable girlfriend Elsie is getting lonely back home, and the vivacious Hungarian girl Rosi who works at the theatre seems to be winning his affection. And back home it looks as if Mrs Hauser, Toni's mother, is going to get evicted. The demo song has become a big hit... if only someone can track the boys down, there could still be a happy ending...
