Thank you for giving me the opportunity to talk about this film. It's just nice to see a film without special effects (gore etc...) and with a depth, a real story. My girlfriend and I enjoyed it very much. We recommend anybody who has the opportunity to see this film to go see it. I wish the director, actors, etc the best of luck and hopefully we'll see more "flicks" like that in the future. Some of the scenes seem to have been shot in Brazil because my girlfriend is from Rio and they look like some places in Rio. Good production value for an "small" film. I wish some "big films" could have the same depth. And again thank you IMDb for letting us comment about it.

Black and Blue is a surprising independent film that I had the chance to watch with friends during a screening in a movie theater. I could not believe that the topic of this film was real. It's very interesting to learn about those things. I don't want to give away the subject of the story but every parent with a child should watch this film and be more aware of what is going on in the world. I was touched by the woman lead Tara Stewart and also by the male lead Philippe Durand. Being from Europe but living in the US, I really related to the story. The ensemble cast is wonderful and makes the whole story believable and truly scary. It was a surprise to see a film like this, with not too much advertising, being so convincing and frantic, and always interesting to watch. I told all my friends to go see this film and I hope to see more independent films in the future.

An amazing thriller, well done, surprising, and the cast is excellent. I wish I could see more "studio movies" of this quality. I encourage anybody who like true stories to see that one. I did not expect that at all. I was glue to my seat the whole time. I like the pace of the film and the director, who seems obviously European, knew how to take the right pace all along. My girlfriend had to close her eyes sometimes and we could not believe that those kinds of things are true. Everybody in the theater were impressed and at the end of the screening, we were talking about the essence of the film and why the subject matter touched a lot of people there that night. I had to say that because generally I am not a big fan of thriller. I am from Germany, my girlfriend is from Carolina. We really liked that film.
