This short film was somewhat effective in the fact that it seemed real, mainly because of the way that they shot this. This film is about Monica who is auditioning for a movie, however, the part she is playing for requires a huge contribution that Monica may have to pay severely for.

Now the acting in this film was pretty descent. Monica was pretty good for her role, however given the circumstances that she was under, or asked to do, she could have been a bit more hesitant and worried as to why this person is making her do that specific thing. Speaking of "persons," the Voice, played by Toor Mian, did a great job of voice acting. Of coarse, his voice was emotionless and monotone, but he was just so creepy because it was just a voice, no body, no head and almost psychopathic.

I thought that what this movie was missing was length and depth to this film. The concept was great and very original, however, had they made it a few minutes longer it would have built up the tension and therefore heightening the climax and making it more of a surprise. Though, other than that minor detail, this film was pretty low budget, only needing a small-enclosed set and a chair, it really conserved on the money. I was only 3 minutes long.

For a short film, I would recommend this to horror fans because it brings back those kinds of horror films like Saw, Death Tunnel and My Little Eye. For 3 minutes, it's worth it but I would not rush to go see it, if you happen to run across it online or on TV, watch it and just take the time to view how the story plays out and decide whether or not it was worth it. I would not call it entirely call it a horror film, but it was more or less of a thriller. I enjoyed it, and I hopefully wish you would to.

Kasting starts as actress Monica (Monica Bertei) enters a room where she is going to audition for a horror film, however this is an audition with a difference as even though she may be dying to be in a film she didn't think it would be quite as literal...

This British production was written & directed by Alyosha Saari & is basically a very short 2 minute short, it's perfectly watchable & in itself has a neat premise although I personally wouldn't hang myself just because someone says so... The story is OK, it's reasonably effective within a short space of time & I suppose the ending is meant to be a twist of some sort even though at only 2 minutes there's not much of a build up! In fact the twist ending takes up more time than anything else!

This is well made in a single location with decent production values, apart from someone hanging there's no gore or violence. There is only one person in the film & she does alright, I wonder if she got the part...

Kasting is a nice enough way to spend 2 minutes of your life, I don't really know where you would find a copy but it's worth a watch as a one off curiosity. Very short & very sweet, not much else to say really.

Kasting was well, average really. i mean not to be harsh but the realism was good and it wasn't stereotypical of a gory horror film but thats what most people like, something that them go 'aww!' and other things to get a reaction to it. Kasting was just slow and dull. the location was OK, the acting was average, she could of been worried and more hesitant when the boring voice of the camera man asked her to hang herself(yawn). the voice was a good idea of not seeing the person and only whats in front of the camera but the voice itself was dull and as if he just woke up from a Friday night down a pub. but hey 3 is better than nothing :)
