The street children's' legs are used as an expression in 'Legs of Phnom Penh' to depict the opportunities right in front of them to have a life that street children usually never get a chance to see. They live on the street, they don't go to school and they have to work at night. The film invites the children out on an adventure in Phnom Penh. The street children's' legs suddenly get the opportunity to lead children to new places. But without the active involvement of the communities' adults they will have to return to and remain in their hopeless lives on the street.
