Short summary

Two men stand before an abstract painting hung on a blank wall. The Man in Black, played by Adam Berman, argues with the Man in Dark Blue, played by Stephen V. Thomas, over the worth of the painting. The Man in Black adores the painting for its powerful artistic emotion, while the Man in Dark Blue explains his distaste of the painting, and abstract paintings in general. Failing to convince the Man in Dark Blue of its likely massive worth, the two move onto another, more realistic painting of three woman at a French Café. The two butt heads once more, and eventually concede to find another painting in the house. On viewing the third and final painting, the two ridicule it for its seemingly lack of passion and thought. As they continue discussing it, however, they each begin bringing to attention the things they believe the painting did right, and the two men agree that the painting is the best artwork in the house. Settling on the best painting, the two reveal their true intentions.

The first painting encountered, and the one featured in the poster, was made by the Director, Britton Thomas, and the Director of Photography, Taylor Moore, three weeks before filming.

The short was actually filmed during daylight hours. Black garbage bags were placed over each window and used to block out incoming sunlight.

The entirety of the short was filmed and edited in one day.
